I mean, thereās the change itself, at a time when a lot of us are using Tumblr as a place to hide away and feel normal, so the timing couldnāt possibly be worse. even just the change in font is making me feel like Iām on a completely different site. itās also weirdly crowded and difficult to visually process, while ALSO having huge unused space on the outside edges. but at the moment my biggest complaint is that I canāt queue things from my drafts with one click anymore, I have to edit a post to queue it, which is ridiculous.
ugh. the one upside is that this inspired me to try re-installing xkit yet again -- in the last several years, it has just flat out not worked for me, but I figured it couldnāt hurt to try again, and it actually works this time! as of now there really isnāt anything in xkit to edit the new dashboard (so far as I can see? and based on the post to the new xkit blog from the other day), but hopefully thatāll be coming soon. until then I might just have to avoid, this is so unsettling to look at. Iām going to try to get my queue filled all the way up again (with the obnoxious edit-to-queue pipeline) so things will continue on without me for awhile, but I ugh, I just cannot with this today :P

What in the fuck
So Iām reviewing posts of mine that have been flagged for adult content and I have three main take aways:
1) I AM SUPER UPSET THAT MY DAVEFUCKMETILER KISSING GIFS FROM SINGLE FATHER ARE FLAGGED. Like I get some of them, because they ādepict sex actsā even though you see no nudity?? BUT UGGGGHH
2) Two of the posts I canāt even see because when I click on ākeep readingā I cannot...keep reading. It just tells me about my post containing adult content. So thatās helpful...not.
3) HOW THE FUCK WAS THIS FLAGGED??? WHAT EVEN....????
tl;dr: woe is me, I would like a greater amount of comments on my fic
What on earth is up with this fandom? Iām used to getting four comments, sure, but that was because the fandom only had like <10 actives and another 15 people on the periphery, so the four comments would mean perhaps 10 kudos including anons, and 0-1 bookmarks. Perhaps 100 hits, a year on. (Also, the comments would typically be at least two sentences long and point out something about the fic that made clear that they read the fic instead of just the pairing tag...)
With this fandom, I know itās larger, but sure, this is a more niche fic, so 5 comments is okay ... except that I have over 50 kudos, 14 bookmarks, and 31 subscriptions. Oh, and over 500 hits in less than a week. Like, what? You like it enough to bookmark it, but not enough to say āI liked thisā somewhere the author can see it? Does everyone in this fandom use bookmarks as a to-read list, or has commenting simply died as a concept?
