just wanted to let you know that all your poe (the game) posting has infected me...i just bought the first game and finished installing it to try it out :) you make it sound so cool! i will happily take any advice you have for a new player LOL
hello anon!
i am pleased that my pillars of eternity posting has sparked your interest
first i would recommend is to choose your character race and class off of vibes alone bc they honestly all work well thematically and in regards to combat and don't sweat the stat distribution much either bc it is very hard to "break" a characters build
second, read every thing and take time to explore all the locations bc there is a lot of lore that can be missed if u just rush through so you get the context of what is going on tho truth be told a lot of the dialogue is full of exposition
third, use the scouting/stealth option as often as possible esp in uncharted areas where there is a lot of fog of war (tho for me i; turn it off via console) and don't feel bad to come back to dungeons and difficult enemies after leveling up more and recruiting more companions
don't go into the temple of eothas until you have at least a party of four and are at least at a level five or such bc you and your party may get wiped by the more difficult bosses down there
spend money one essentials firstly bc camping gear is necessary to rest outside of an inn (tho there is always a free option in the first town you go to; gilded vale)
save often and don't feel bad abt save-scumming bc it is better to do that than to waste time by going back to an hours past save
talk to your companions even w/o the dialogue showing up on their portrait getting to know them is important to their quests a lot of the time (esp with durance and grieving mother)
The devil whispering in my ear: you can make a path of the damned run in time for Avowed just play the same character and the same choices you've always made there's no way this can go wrong
Do you think any godlike were born in the Dyrwood during the Waidwen’s Legacy fiasco? Were they the only ones born with their souls intact? Or were they just as likely to be hollowborn?
And if the latter and what we know about godlike, were the gods aware of their souls being taken? Did they feel a sudden loss? Did they feel a change in Woedica?
