Since we’re talking about favorites—I love the green Horween Chromexcel I’ve been posting about recently, but this natural colored #Chromexcel juuust edges out the green for my absolute favorite leather for my wallet, seen here. This is my favorite wallet. It is a Park Sloper Senior without a pen loop (“No Pen”). Depending on the hide and the area of the hide the piece is cut from, texture can vary widely from completely smooth to this awesome texture. This one has additional back pockets hidden behind the notebook, and each of the 4 pockets has 2-4 cards in it. I also use this wallet style with only the front left pockets (that's the default). With just two pockets you might think it wouldn’t have enough capacity, but it works perfectly and you can put 8-10 cards in each pocket no sweat (something you can not do with wallets that have multiple card pockets stacked vertically). This cuts down on the overall thickness of the wallet because we can do without the one extra layer of leather that creates the back pockets. Either way works, it is a matter or preference. Also, with the card pockets facing inwards instead of upwards as they would be in a vertical pocket orientation, when the wallet is closed there is no chance a card can fall out. Nice and secure.
