I definitely do not torrent stuff, but a friend of a friend of mine says the ep is usually available for download around 10 minutes after it finishes airing in the east.

Jane here. He asked me to answer this for him, since he still feels a bit betrayed.

He told me earlier that he hoped no one would ask this because it hit him hard. Jemma is his favorite character, and he doesn’t understand why she left. He says there’s no SHIELD without Jemma. Might as well be Hydra, he says. :)

He didn’t notice Jemma was in the FZZT outfit until I pointed it out to him (after the reveal, of course). He was just as blindsided! Didn’t see it coming at all! After the reveal, though, he was a little more critical of how Jemmaginary was acting, saying, “Jemma wouldn’t say that,” and etc. He says it was more Fitz a look into Fitz’s psyche than anything, and I agree! We both think Elizabeth did a really good job of playing Simmons and Fitz at the same time.

When we got to the reveal of Jemma in Hydra, his reactions were a lot like mine, “Why is she happy?” “SHE’S HYDRA??!?!?!? NOOO!” Oh man, it was a blast watching him experience all these twists. (He’s over my shoulder saying I should tell you that I’m really enjoying his suffering, but he’s happy to go through it for me. This guy, I swear.)

We’re at the part where Jemma has come back now, and he does not agree with Mack’s assessment that Jemma makes Fitz worse (I don’t agree either)! Instead, he says the problem is that they won’t confront the elephant in the room: Fitz’s confession and how they each feel about it. So we’ll see how his opinion progresses as we keep watching!

Anyway. Just curious about your thoughts as someone who appears to be a fan of both, as I am.

well, obsessive as I am, I’ve naturally mentally compared my primary OTP (FitzSimmons) to all my other OTPs and some ships, lmao, and thought about whether an AU would work for them. 

I have very, very long since rejected a LoVe AU for FitzSimmons because the fundamental things that make up each relationship are too vastly different. neither of FS would ever clash in the same way that LoVe do - FS bicker, they don’t actively fight. it’s totally not the same. I often talk to my bff about how LoVe in a lot of ways is very different from the type of ship that is my natural catnip because they were genuine, serious enemies for a long time, and their love grows out of a completely different place. 

making a FitzSimmons LoVe AU would require shoehorning both of FS into behaving in a way that neither would ever act, and they’d end up needing to be OOC in some way - and at that point, why? lol 

so, I’ve thought about it before, and yeah, have summarily rejected it. no way to do it and keep FS IC, which is the most important part of any AU, imho. :-)

Voting for teachers AU also but would read both!

I love both of them so much.... but I love the season 2 AU!! you are amazing so do whatever you like tho I would read anything you wrote for sure

I know of SHIELD from Spider-Man the Animated series from the 90′s, the 90′s Nick Fury movie (very disappointing), and I have read random SHIELD/SWORD comics. That being said, I had plenty of options to follow the show on Tumblr and on my own but for whatever reason didn’t. In my opinion, I needed to wait to watch it with @agent-85 :)Predictions: Coulson is secretly a LMD (Life-Model Decoy) since they are huge in the comics. Skye will eventually choose to become part of the team but reach a crisis and end up grossly betraying them. The FitzSimmons ship will happen but only after being unnecessarily dragged out then unceremoniously shoved down our throats…we’ll love every second of it anyways. I can see Ward being heroically killed off in a season finale (not at the end of season 1 but later). Last, but certainly not least, Melinda May will have to take over the team for an extended period while Coulson is MIA (for whatever reason).

I’m having to think really hard about this because honestly I don’t watch a lot of TV, so there aren’t many that I’ve become invested enough in to even be favorites at all. So here we go, in no particular order.

1. Doctor Who2. Agents of SHIELD3. Broadchurch4. Sherlock

After this, there are lots of TV shows I watched with my parents growing up that I enjoyed, but nothing that I watched consistently or not because it happened to be on TV when I had nothing else to do. I’m actually sitting here talking with my husband about it, trying to suss out what I watched as a kid and if I still have any lingering feelings/impressions about any of them, so I guess 5 gonna have to be a tie between

5. Star Trek: The Next Generation/Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

I was literally halfway through a reblog with this very paragraph bolded and then I lost it and now it feels redundant. So on point. I, too, was a casual “whatevs, boy/girl friendships can be just that, I don’t always need them to be romantic” viewer, but the POD SCENE DAMN!!! Changed. Everything.
