“Are you sure you didn’t hit your head?” Simmons asked, running a fluttering thumb across his forehead and retreating before he could wave her off.

“Don’t act so concerned, Simmons, isn’t this what you wanted?”

“Well, yes, but after you stormed off–”

“I did not–”

“–I wasn’t exactly expecting you to have a change of heart, is all!”

“Look,” Fitz said, holding paperwork in one hand and massaging his temples with the other, “If we can survive three straight semesters of Professor Vaughn, we can do anything, right?”

He barely had a chance to prepare for impact before her arms were around his neck, pulling him into an awkward embrace in their living room that had him both stumbling to stay upright and coaxing a tired grin from his lips.

“Just..” He started, patting his free hand between her shoulder blades, “you’re filling out the paperwork for both of us!”

Simmons scoffed, pulling away and tearing the forms from his grip. “We both know I have the better penmanship, anyways.”

Watching as she disappeared into her bedroom to retrieve something to write with, Fitz couldn’t help but take pity on their poor future teammates. 

S.H.I.E.L.D. wasn’t going to know what hit them.

um, it would probably have just been more scenes of the team bonding in general? like i don’t think i have anything specific, or that i even think of those three fics as a ‘verse’ or anything like that?

‘and it was hard but you were brave’ was mostly written because 1) after publishing ‘we’re nothing and nothing will help us,’ i wanted to write something that was, to put it frankly, better than that fic and 2) i did genuinely want to write something fitz-and-the-team-centric in the aftermath of that. and ‘the world is too heavy’ was basically written because i thought of more scenes that hadn’t made it into ‘and it was hard but you were brave’ that i thought of later and wanted to write

anything further i wrote would probably be titled something like ‘we laugh and it pits the world against us’ or something from ‘we all die trying to get it right’ by vance joy (find a place that we can be alone/find a place that we can be ourselves… we all die trying to get it right… so aim high, and aim true) or maybe from la reyna by penny and sparrow (we’ll be movers and shakers, or leaves on a tree… and i don’t really care, it doesn’t matter to me, because i know that i’ll be with you), which are all grouped in my head along with a lot of other stuff in what is basically an aesthetic i refer to as ‘the aos season 2 we deserved’

I started writing it, but I don’t want to get behindon posting at least one thing each day, so I will probably come back to it when the FS week is done!

What do you love most about FS?: Um, EVERYTHING. But really, just the way they love each other, how they can talk with and over each other, and how the show constantly shows how smart they are. They’re empathetic, and for a show that has a things like strength and powers that can’t be explain by science, these two are the most powerful when they’re just being their best human selves full of heart and love. Also, they just FIT. Like, when you look at two people and think, “Damn, they make sense.” YEAH, THESE TWO MAKE SENSE.

Favorite FS moment: The “A picture of space” scene. I adore everything about it. The highlights as to why I FREAKING LOVE THIS SCENE:

They both take that step towards BEING SOMETHING MORE.

THE HUMOR. I mean, who doens’t love cheeky Fitz making Jemma laugh? I mean honestly.

I get her head resting on her shoulder, his head leaning on her head, and sloooooow slide into a kiss. I DIED SEEING IT HAPPEN LIVE. I legit started screaming and jumping from my couch up and down. FITZSIMMONS ARE NOW CANON. SUCK IT B****ES. LOL.

And then, the completely FUN kiss after that slow perfect slide into that first one. Fitz makes a joke to break this delicious sexual tension and Jemma laughs at him. And then she looks at him with what I like to think is her, “this ridiculous man is mine” look and then KISSES HIM TO STOP HIM FROM MUMBLING. 

SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS, THIS IS MY FAVORITE SCENE AND I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.

Favorite non-FS character: Well. WHY ARE YOU MAKING ME CHOOSE. But I’ll go with…May. I mean, she’s a badass. 

Fun fact about yourself/something you’d like to share: It took me a while, but I’m finally doing the thing I’ve always wanted to do - Just earned my MD and I’m being a doctor! I’m sorry I haven’t been around much reading and commenting - the start of residency has been…a transition! 

Recommend one thing (book, movie, show, etc.): Um. Hm…Since we’re loving a couple on a superhero show, I’m going to go old school rec: LOIS AND CLARK AND THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN. They were legit probably my first ship ever - that Lois and Clark, aka Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain, were just THE BEST. Oh, I could gush about them all day. It was a fun and campy show but I really liked that they explored Lois and Clark being a couple vs. Lois and Superman, you know? Just, it all worked.

I hope Iain does more cons too. He did seem genuinely happy to be there, which made me really glad. Both of them are just wonderful, and I’m so glad I got to meet them (Liz, again).

No seriously that’s pretty much what Iain did! That may be my favorite part out of everything that happened: that he got THAT excited over our costumes and wanted to share it with Liz, lol (and she got excited too!). What a true marshmallow.
