Here is an example of how finicky photographing the moon can be. I wanted to capture as much of the moon as possible. I kept accidentally touching the telescope (Not grabbing just slightly touching) every time I hit the shutter, and that threw off the framing. I’ve made a GIF from when this kept happening in the middle of trying to use the camera on full auto
It’s very hard not to get a shot of Copernicus Crater. This was taken at the maximum zoom I was able to manage with my current set up. Any closer and the slightest twitch (Even simply tensing my wrist when holding the telescopes handle) would send me widely off target.
I think I’ve posted my first successful shots. Here are some of the VERY first ones. This was before I realized I needed the variable adapter and only had a T-ring to telescope adapter.

As far as the project was running, it was kind of difficult to keep it up with the initial idea I had in mind. I decided to slightly bend the criteria I placed for myself and I’m sure it was for the better. No comments, likes were pretty low, and follows were also low. I did get some random likes off of having popular tags.

[Soldiers in Life] Portraits of Texas Army National Guard Soldiers (TXARNG) in our lives. TXARNG Soldiers are first responders on a State level emergency like a natural disaster or border control, but they are in everywhere around us. They sacrifice themselves to serve the nation. . . . . #pnm3379 #instagramproject3379 #soldiersinlife #nationalguards #photography #photo #project #army #soldier #heroes #texas #follow #proud https://www.instagram.com/p/B80KbnhA7Yl/?igshid=1lkgb34nffp46
