“Colors at home” - Blue 🌈 Artist statement🌈 This project is a collection of everyday items which has the same color. Since COVID 19 outbreak, I have stayed home most of the time, so I decided to take photos of the objects around me. As you look, all the items on my photos can be found near you any time and anywhere. I’ve never paid attention when I use the thing but put the same colors together made them look something else than I expected. I decided to make my photo conceptual with colors. I have used a white background when I place the items so their color can stand out in the photo. I also play little Tetris when I put them together, so the balance of the picture is not odd. Additionally, I used soft light from the ceiling and a little bit of natural light from outside to keep the objects’ liveness. Through this project, I realized what’s around me and started to pay more attention to my surroundings. Although it was sad that I couldn’t be outside and take pictures of beautiful nature, it was definitely worth of experience. I also learned that the lights are essential to its photo; adding too much light can make pictures faded, and when the lights are not enough, it could look dead.
