I believe I heard about up the pn. honorific from you, and I think it sounds cool! I went to look it up cause I was curious and couldn't really find anything, so I was curious as to where you found it from
*cracks knuckles* we're going to follow a lot of links until i find this shit
Oh. That was like three links. Anyway I think this links to the document but in case it doesn't work I mention it on the ve pronoun history post here
Third page of the PDF, labeled page two of the magazine. Section "manglish."
I think it's meant to be pronounced as just the whole word "person," like how "mr" only has two letters but it pronounced as the full "mister," but I pronounce it as "pen" in my head which also sounds very cool.
And yes, I love it because it's a really cool honorific with some neat history but ALSO. I love the thought of TERFs going "ughhhh the gendies made up a new word, why isn't "ms" or "mr" good enough for them?" and then their blood just fucking boiling as they realize I got it from a 1970s feminist magazine. That they're arguing against their own cause. They'd be so pissed off, it sounds so damn satisfying.
So ig this is a spite honorific and also a pretty good trump card in any TERFy debates you find yourself roped into regarding gender neutral honorifics. Also it's gender neutral and totally slaps. What's not to like?
