PM Service 25th Anniversary
Last February 3, the PM Service (formerly “Sunset Service”) celebrated 25 years of grace!
The PM Service has probably gone through the most changes among the three services in DCBC, due to its initial experimental stage, and the coming and going of student attendees and volunteers. Even to this day, a Sunday’s service can have most (if not, all) of its attendees be volunteers!
One of the biggest blessings the PM Service has received recently is a head pastor, after more than a year! We praise God for Ptr. Armin Alforque, who has shown his care and love for the members and volunteers for years.
The celebration began with a special Sunday worship service. Various alumni batches attended to commemorate the work of the Lord through the PM Service. It was a blessing to see so many familiar faces! The alumni also led the praise and worship during the service.
And of course, the PM service will not be complete on Sunday without the small group sharing. Amidst the large number of attendees that day (almost triple the regular number), we still had our small group sharing, with more people to get-to-know and share our insights with.
After the service, there was a special program that included a song offering from Matt and Monique Padilla, a brief talk from Ptr. Willie Girao on “How It [Sunset Service] All Began”, a tribute to Ptr. Caloy Novisteros, and a Q&A portion for others to know more about the PM Service.
We praise God for the 25 years He has blessed the PM Service, along with all the new and old volunteers, the different challenges, and the constant service and love. May we continue to be refined like silver, and to grow in grace in the years to come!
