Halloween Movies || Frenzie
Mackenzie Once again, Frank was opening the door with very little clothing on, a dark blush covering her cheeks as she kept her eyes firmly trained on his face, though a large smile broke out at the sight of his own, shoulders slumping slightly in relief that he appeared so happy to see her. "Hey, you. I brought films!" She held up the two horrors with a grin, before waiting for him to invite her in.
Frankie quickly let her in, taking the films off her and looking them over. So these were romcoms? They looked a bit full on, but if Mack wanted to watch them, that's what they'd do, "Make yourself can-comfortable," he said before realising his lack of dress. He quickly grabbed a shirt and threw it over his head, apologising quickly.
Mackenzie "I know I said I liked rom-cons but they were all I could find, I'm pretty sure Al took the majority of my favourites with her." She laughed softly before realising who she'd mentioned, clearing her throat and taking a deep breath before smiling again, somewhat forcibly. She chuckled at his apology, brushing it off before moving past him to sit on the edge of his bed, shrugging off her leather jacket and draping it over the end.
Frankie So these weren't romcoms? Frank was a little confused, having no idea what on earth romcom was. It sounded made up. Maybe it was... He would never really know, would he? His attention flicked back to her as she mentioned her sister and he frowned at her reaction, not daring to ask if she were okay or if she wanted to talk about it. Instead, he took her jacket and hung it on the back of the door before sitting down next to her, "Wh-what do you want t-t-to watch?"
Mackenzie She smiled when he sat next to her, resting the urge to rest her head on his shoulder as she turned to look at him. "I don't mind, I've seen them both so it's completely up to you. Although the second one is definitely the scarier of the two, so it depends on whether you're into that shit or not." She shrugged, blushing slightly at the realisation she was rambling.
Frankie shrugged, pointing at the second one, "That one looks good." He said, hoping that she would offer to put the movie on considering he had no idea how to work any of the things in his dorm that were plugged into walls.
Mackenzie "Perfect." She grinned, waiting a moment before giving a soft chuckle and standing once it became clear Frank wasn't moving, going over to the TV and putting the film in before returning to the bed, this time sitting up against the headboard, her bare legs stretched out in front of her, clad in only a pair of shorts.
Frankie felt a bit like a dick for not being a gentleman and putting the movie on but once she had come back to join him on the bed, he moved to sit like her, leaning against his headboard and crossing his feet over each other. He couldn't help but look down at her legs, clearing his throat awkwardly and practically looking everywhere but back at her bare skin. They were friends, they had established that that was all they would be and Frank needed to accept that.
Mackenzie Resisting the urge to curl up into his side, Mackenzie nibbled on her lower lip, gaze training on the TV as the film began. She had never really been very good with scary films, and she couldn't help but regret her choice. The last thing they needed was the brunette huddling into Frank's chest in fear, when their relationship was already so fragile.
Frankie watched as the movie started, frowning as almost immediately someone was dead. He wondered if these were the kinds of movies Mackenzie was into butcher said nothing, sniffing lightly and twiddling his toes a little.
Mackenzie As the film began, Mackenzie jumped almost immediately, teeth digging into her lower lip as she resisted every urge and craving to curl up into Frank for safety. This all went out of the window, however, when the second person died, a little squeal leaving her lips as their blood spattered across the screen, at which point Mackenzie promptly pressed her hands to her face and burrowed into Frank's side.
Frankie tried his hardest not to short at her as she jumped. He didn't understand what was so scary so far... a few people had died, but that was about it. Jump scares weren't exactly something that Frankie found scary, but clearly Mackenzie did. He frowned softly as she moved into his side, moving his arm around her, mostly to make himself more comfortable. He idly ran his hand along her arm and chuckled, "We don't have to watch this if you don't want to."
Mackenzie Comforted by the wrapping of Frank's arm around her frame, Mackenzie shook her head, peeking out from between her fingers so that she could continue to watch the film, a soft blush gracing her cheeks at how stupid she must look.
Frankie had no idea how to turn the movie off, but he continued to rub her arm softly, "D-do you want to turn it off?"
Mackenzie shook her head again, trying to ignore the goosebumps that appeared at his soft touch. "N-No, no, we can watch it."
Frankie wasn't entirely sure what to do, but as he felt her skin pucker under his touch, he stopped, not wanting to bother her, "O-o-okay," he mumbled quietly.
Mackenzie waited for a moment before pulling out of his grasp, mumbling a sorry and watching the film again, though she had soon grabbed the remote and switched it off, turning to look at him with wide eyes.
Frankie frowned, having no wanted her to pull away, but not wanting to keep her close to him either. It was a little too hard for him, trying to stay 'friendly' with Mackenzie but continuing to touch her. He liked her -- he couldn't just stop liking her -- and he liked touching her. Too much. Liking too much was a bad idea because it wasn't fair to her or to Frank considering she was into Andre. Once she had turned the movie off, Frank blinked over at her, "You d-d-don't like that one?"
Mackenzie shook her head, running a hand through her hair before smiling sheepishly. "Sorry, I'm the biggest wuss." She hugged her legs to her chest, nibbling on her lower lip for a moment. "Do you urh, have any other films you want to watch?"
Frankie frowned a little before shrugging, "It's okay. I d-d-don't think you're a w-wuss..." he looked down at his feet and shook his head, "I'm not r-really a b-b-big movie buff... S-sorry... We c-could do something else?"
Mackenzie smiled softly in the hope of reassuring him that it was okay, head dropping down to rest on her knees as she looked at him. "It's fine, Frankie, I'm the one who didn't want to watch." She chuckled, head cocking to the side slightly. "We can do something else, what would you like to do?"
Frankie couldn't help but just look at her when she asked what he wanted to do. The last time he'd done what he wanted to do was they'd not talked for a long while. "W-we could just t-talk?"
Mackenzie "How fun." She teased him, laughing softly before giving him a more genuine smile. "Talking sounds perfect."
Frankie 's cheeks flushed when she made the sarcastic. comment but he nodded nonetheless, "What do you w-want to talk about?"
Mackenzie chuckled at his blush, nibbling on her lower lip and furrowing her brow for a moment as she thought. "Hmm, I don't know. How are the hips today?"
Frankie shrugged, "Th-they're good. Look!" He stood quickly, lifting his shirt a little to show her his hips. They jutted out awkwardly as usual, but he moved around a little and they barely clicked, "C-cool, huh?"
Mackenzie couldn't help but blush slightly as he lifted his shirt up, her gaze transfixed by the way in which his hip bones moved when he did. Smile appearing at the lack of clicking, Mackenzie grinned encouragingly, nodding her head. "Really cool. So they don't hurt much at the moment?"
Frankie With his shirt still up, he looked down at his own hips, his stomach muscles flexing slightly as he did so. He was smiling a bit like an idiot -- more than a bit more like Frank normally smiled as he looked up at Mackenzie, "N-not really... I m-mean, they're still sore. But they're not nearly as bad. They s-still move when I move... See?" he moved toward her this time, his hip bones jutting out softly with each movement.
Mackenzie found it endearing how happy he was, his grin infectious and causing one of her own to appear as she nodded once more. "Can-Can I touch them?" Her voice was soft, an embarrassed blush gracing her cheeks at her own request.
Frankie 's eyebrows flew up at her question, never having thought that anything of the sort would be something that Mackenzie would want to do. It wasn't the first time he had been asked though, a few of his friends having felt them move before. Frankie came to a stop in front of her and nodded a little awkwardly, "Y-yeah, if you w-w-w-want to?"
Mackenzie nodded slowly, cautious hand reaching out towards him, pausing for a moment before edging just that little but closer, fingertips brushing lightly over the hipbone. A small smile graced her lips at the feel, fingers gently probing the bone.
Frankie clenched his jaw as harshly as he could, moving his legs slowly but not moving away from her so she could feel the way they moved when he moved. He shivered slightly under her touch, trying desperately not to think anything more than friendship out of their encounter.
Mackenzie noticed how his jaw clenched, retracting her hand with a guilt look. "Did I hurt you? I'm sorry, Frankie.." She nibbled anxiously on her lower lip, running a hand through her hair.
Frankie shook his head quickly, "N-no... no it's okay... Y-y-you didn't do a-anything... I'm o-okay... It... f-f-feels um... f-fine." He felt awkward again, still not moving, his shirt still pooled in his hands around his ribs.
Mackenzie 's shoulders slumped slightly in relief, sheepish smile on her face. "Okay, g-good." It was odd, how awkward Mackenzie became around the male, her cheeks now permanently red as she cautiously moved forwards to rest against the headboard once more, ankles crossing as she once more stretched her legs out.
Frankie couldn't help how disappointed he was when she moved away from him again and not touching his hips. He slowly lowered his shirt and cleared his throat, "A-anything you'd w-w-want to talk about?"
Mackenzie hummed softly in thought, trying to think of something to say. "Kiss me." The words had left her lips without her really thinking about it, eyes widening in shock at her own request.
Frankie 's eyebrows once again she spoke and he fumbled slightly, "Wh--wha--um... what?"
Mackenzie blushed, immediately moving to stand. "I-Urh, urm, nothing. I-nothing." She frowned, her embarrassment clear as she moved to grab her jacket, shrugging it on. "I should urh, I should urh go, urm yeah."
Frankie was breathing fairly heavily, not knowing what to say or what to do as she stood, "Y-you made it c-c-c-clear that y-y-you were into s-s-someone else... I d-d-don't... I don't u-understand."
Mackenzie paused, brow furrowing as she looked at him, her own confusion clear. "No, I-I know I was, I mean I am I, I don't-"
Frankie blinked a few times, "Th-this isn't f-f-fair, you know? Y-y-you can't have i-it b-b-both ways... I c-c-can't be friendly F-F-Frank and th-then be r-r-rejected b-b-by you then a-a-asked to kiss y-you agian."
Mackenzie "I know, I-I know. I'm sorry, I didn't mean, I-" She looked at him, crestfallen, before her gaze lowered to the floor. "I'm sorry.."
Frankie "I w-want t-to kiss y-you," he said quickly, "B-but I'm n-not going t-to be th-that guy. I d-did something s-stupid because of a g-girl... and I d-don't want to feel l-like that again."
Mackenzie "You would never be that guy.." She spoke somewhat weakly, gaze lifting back up to lock on his face. "Just forget I said anything, I should go, I'm sorry."
Frankie looked down at the floor, biting back a reply of 'I already am' before.nodding softly as she spoke, "Yeah. maybe."
Mackenzie clamped down on her lower lip to hold back a small sob of pain, her sadness and regret clear on her face as she turned to leave. She could hardly put into words that actually, if anything, Andre had become that guy. She wasn't entirely sure how to explain that she really did have feeling for Frank, really did want him, and so she kept quiet.
Frankie frowned, his eyebrows knitting together harshly, "P-please don't c-cry, Mack."
Mackenzie "I'm not. I'm not going to, I-" She sucked in a harsh breath, burrowing her face in her hands for a moment as she composed herself.
Frankie "I'm sorry!" he apologised quickly, "P-please... don't. "
Mackenzie shook her head, removing her hands and forcing a weak smile onto her face. "Don't be. It's not your fault."
Frankie "B-but I f-feel like it is. Tell me what t-to do to make this b-better... do y-you want m-me to take you t-to Andre?"
Mackenzie let out a small laugh of disbelief, unable to fully understand what she was hearing. "Would you stop bringing him up?! Andre and I are not, we're not-" She groaned, unable to wrap her head around the situation.
Frankie found himself even more confused, "I j-just... I d-don't know! W-wanted to m-make you h-happy?!"
Mackenzie pinched the bridge of her nose, eyes squeezing shut for a moment as she tried to compose herself. "I'm sorry I'm such a fuck up." It was all she could give him in that moment before she was turning for the door, eyes filling with tears once he couldn't see her face.
Frankie had said something wrong again, he was certain he had considering her reaction, "Y-you're not a f-fuck up... j-just please, t-tell me what's wrong..."
Mackenzie have a soft sigh, turning back around to face him and shrugging. "Me. I'm what's wrong. Everything I touch goes fucked up and I'm sick of it I- I'm just /sorry/, okay?"
Frankie frowned, not understanding what she was taking about, "Y-you're not w-wrong. Th-there's nothing w-w-wrong w-with you... Y-you have nothing t-to be sorry for. I j-just want to understand."
Mackenzie "Understand what? What is there to understand? You shouldn't even care, you were never supposed to care, /no-one/ was."
Frankie "You! I w-w-want to understand y-you! I c-care so f-f-flipping d-deal with it!" he hadn't meant to yell and he knew he shouldn't have the moment after he had and his shoulders slumped in defeat.
Mackenzie was taken aback by his yelling, tears now rolling freely down her cheeks. "I-I'm sorry, I can't- I can't do this." Without another word she turned and fled from the room.
Frankie groaned at himself, watching as she left before rolling his eyes and turning, hitting his head into the wall next to him, "I wanted to kiss you." he said quietly to himself.
