Dream of the Endless/Hob Gadling || 33k || T || Chapter 7 / 14
Alternate Universe - Human, Alpha/Beta/Omega Dynamics, Alpha Hob Gadling, Omega Dream of the Endless, Implied/Referenced Alcohol Abuse/Alcoholism, Christmas Fluff. Hurt/Comfort, Getting Together, Homophobia, Protective Hob Gadling
There are not many reasons for a male Omega to wash up in the remote Highlands, alone and starved and broke and shit-scared of Alphas. There are even fewer reasons that don’t take Hob’s yet-kindled protective instincts and set them ablaze.
“Morning!” Hob says, unwinding his scarf from his face and beaming at Dream.Â
Unbelievably, he receives a small smile in return from behind the check-in desk. “Good morning, Hob,” Dream replies, inclining his head.Â
He’s looking snug in a thick woolen turtleneck that he’d purchased at the charity shop yesterday, and Hob’s initial instinct to give him a bit of ribbing about it.Â
So to speak.Â
But Hob’s second instinct is that Dream would not respond well to any teasing about his new-old wardrobe, prideful creature that he is, and so instead he says, “It’s actually in the single digit negatives for once, out there. Bloody Christmas miracle.”Â
“Single digit negatives,” Dream repeats, with incredulity. “You will forgive me, if I do not jump for joy.”Â
