It’s been three years since I’ve done a pset and not gonna lie I’m really feeling the gap...
Onward!
Just sent in my grad school decisions 😱😯🥳😂
It turned out to be a really tough choice and it hurt to turn down some phenomenal opportunities. But, simultaneously, I’m thrilled about my choice, and will be counting down the days until class starts in the fall.
Strange to be at the end of this road after the 7 years (4 undergrad + 3 working) of preparation. But, I’m about to embark on 6 years of PhD, so perhaps the depth of preparation is fair. Now begins a new journey!
Episode 1 in this coming fall’s saga: me, attempting to get to grad school Spent Sunday studying for the GRE in one of my favorite cafes (DC’s Compass Coffee opened a new, very convenient spot). I’m planning to take the test in September, and then it’s NSF grant applications in October and the actual grad school apps in December. It’s all very daunting right now, but I am also *so* excited to head back to school that in a sense it can’t happen soon enough.
It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.
