Hi! I just downloaded your Veronaville families and LOVE their faces. How were you able to do make their faces all so distinct? I feel like all of my Sims end up looking the same - the so called pudding face. Do you have slider mods? If so, where can I find them? PLEASE TEACH! Haha.
Hi and thank you! In the special case of the Veronaville Sims a lot of credit goes to EA. Where available I used their ts3 versions, aged up to the ts2 timeline. In most cases children are generated in CAS, except for the Capp siblings. There I used reference shots from ts2, which has more sculpted faces.
The Veronaville Sims are also cc-free, but even normally I use custom sliders sparingly and I don't increase slider range. Some custom sliders I use a lot are chin cleft (1 or 2) and eyebrow distance and upper lip middle width. I usually set chin-cleft to an absolute minimum, so it's not really visible, but makes the chin more defined. The other two help to scale the face to the available space on the head.
It can be inspiring to try the EA templates, especially for nose-shapes. Sometimes it requires some courage to try something out of the average. A starting point could be, for example, to pick an unusual nose and make the rest of the face to complement it. Personally I also think it helps to set the hair and clothing style early. They can have a strong influence on how the face looks.
