Today, Mars in Cancer is partile opposite Pluto in Capricorn. As expected, the news shows several power struggles related to the themes ruled by those planets and Signs.

According to CNN Business, “Finance ministers from the Group of Seven (G7) nations [Pluto in Capricorn] have put their support behind the Biden administration's ambitious plan [Mars in Cancer] to overhaul the global tax system [Pluto], backing a minimum tax of at least 15% on corporate earnings [Pluto in Capricorn].” (brackets added) However, the Moon is waning, and Mercury is retrograde, so, this project is short lived, delayed or dead at the upcoming eclipse. The fight is on. The Guardian already anticipates the hesitation saying “let’s make sure it happens”.

“Black Lives Matter [spread] around the world” (CBSNEWS). Remember that the Mars Pluto opposition square Chiron in Aries (by Sign even though not exact, it’s operative anyway). Because Chiron travels Aries so slowly (8 years) it has great incidence in civil rights and the struggle for survival.

In addition, Eris, Goddess of Discord is T-square within orb (at 24º♈️36’), therefore, active protests and possible physical or armed confrontations could be expected in some places of the world, related but not limited to Black People’s rights. Other relegated ethnicities, religious, political or cultural identity groups may also rebel and be confronted by the powers that be.

Also, in the news, and reacting to his ban from social media outlets, the ex-President is out in public view rebelling against the Facebook ban decision, branding his persistent argument about being wronged. NPR states that he’s confident that “the place will be packed, all records broken!" [and] he continued the lie that the election was "rigged." (unquote) This relates to the astrological symbolism of Eris, the rebel that fights back relentlessly after being left out of the Gods’ banquet.

Other examples of patent institutional and political powers (Pluto in Capricorn) opposing rebellions and resistance (Mars in Cancer) appears in the CBS yesterday titled “465 arrested in Capitol riot case, including at least 50 who have served in the military”. Moreover, in today’s CNN, the news reads “A federal judge, who compares an AR-15 to a Swiss Army knife, overturns California's ban on assault weapons”, which is a mix bag in the Mars and Pluto power struggles.

If you like to turn your eye to the rest of the world, you may want to read foreign sources of information where you will find plenty of examples of power struggles all over the globe.

Just be aware of this configuration in your personal life, because it may suddenly ignite a fire from any passive aggressive long subdued anger against family members or a significant other.

Friendships with a long overdue expiration date may be destroyed in the spur of a moment. However, this could be a positive push if you’ve had pernicious relationship conflicts for a longtime and never found the courage to end the struggle. Now, ('full' Mars) could be the decisive moment when you liberate yourself.

Unfortunately, they are not the only hot spot of the zodiac, because Eris, the tenth planet, beyond Pluto, is planted on the 24º of Aries, square the duo in Capricorn. As I have told you before, she is the Goddess of Discord. Sister of Mars, the Warrior, she is even a more intense fighter than him. She fights for her right to partake in the Feast of the Gods, where she was not invited nor accepted nor welcome. These days her spirit is screaming louder and louder as she grapples with the powers that be to defend herself from their oppressive injustice. She may wear the ‘BLM’ slogan; she may brand the refuges banner, the American (continent) aborigines’ flag, the sick from the virus or the society’s indigents’ causes. She’s not stepping down any time soon. In fact, she’s becoming the crucial actress in the second part of 2020, when Mars, her brother will visit her (conjunction) three times and TOGETHER will battle the three big powers, Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. Jupiter is the magnifying glass over the secret corruption, sinister deals, cyclopean wealth, but also over the obsessive polarization represented by the ‘all or nothing’ Pluto archetype. There is also a demolition (Pluto) of beliefs systems (Jupiter) as well, through a profound sense of disempowerment. We may see extreme forms of ideas, and people fighting for them, many, in an attempt to cling to them, at the same time that the rug is pulled from under their feet. Overnight, the Moon conjoins Chiron, emotionally activating your woundedness. Your vulnerable sense of self is touched by something or someone, and it doesn’t feel comfortable. As the Moon continues, she squares Mars, with the possibility of disputes, heated reactions, probably based more on your own hurt than anything having to do with ‘the other’.

Again, as the inner planets go through Aries, they’ll all square the Capricorn ‘reconstruction’ team, first Mars, then Jupiter, Pluto and finally Saturn, which is not going to be a fun trip.

PLUS, Eris, the Goddess of the Discord is planted at 23º Aries, technically still squaring Pluto, and soon Jupiter and Mars will add their energies to the conflict. Here comes the Moon every month meeting her, stirring up our rebellious emotions against things that we can’t stand anymore! This time, the Moon also square Jupiter, so your emotional state may be blown out of proportion. People in general has had enough, enough of most everything. How much more will people endure? On the one hand, people are enraged, on the other, with Neptune, and Mercury retrograde, plus now the addition of the Sun, all in Pisces, there is a sense of suspension of time, wait and see how far things go, with a bitter flavor of defeat in face of the unavoidable, or the impossibility to beat the ‘enemy’(visible, or invisible like the Covid19).

What is it that common people like you and me want? Safety, enough food, shelter, protection, comfort, health, the right to exist, and ultimately the ability to survive. Those are things that the concept of ‘home’ provides, right? That’s why all cosmic energies are pushing towards the North Node in Cancer. Unfortunately, when people panic in fear of death, those who have unlimited power take advantage offering the safety and security we seek at the high price of freedom. Therefore, breathe and enjoy this day, care for your loved ones, be grateful for this present moment, because you only own this moment. Life owns your life.
