someone reminded me today that you're not supposed to double-space after a period anymore, which adhd-distracted me and now i'm thinking about uni. one of my professors said the same thing, and he would take off 20% of your note if your broke the style guide (not like, "you didn't use references" but "your title page is off by one enter bar". I also cannot fucking read unless i have visual breaks and the double space does that for me. So this is just a sort of nebulous thought, but while i recognize the importance of style guides for consistency, i disliked his performative "we're going to have a pronoun circle" followed by the "i water the style guide with the blood of the adhd/dyslexic/neurodiv du jour."
