Plumkit --> Plumpaw --> Plumnose

Plumkit was born of a secret affair between the ambitious ShadowClan deputy and medicine cat, Foxbite and Honeymoon. She and her sibling, Russetkit, were brought in under the guise of being orphaned kits but were treated very much like outsiders by their whole clan as they grew.

Unlike her brother, Plumkit has always been outgoing and has made herself ignorant to her clanmates sneers. Instead, she throws herself into the stories of the elders and patrols around camp with Pricklepaw and Swiftpaw as her guides.

As an apprentice, her mentor was Mistybriar, a level-headed and protective she-cat who rarely lost her temper with her overeager apprentice. It was under Mistybriar’s patience that Plumpaw threw herself into being an upstanding warrior apprentice, holding the code and her clan in the highest honor. She quickly prided herself on being the best hunter in the clan when Wildstar offered his fleeting praise after an assessment.

Due to her charisma, Plumpaw made friends with many of the apprentices and warriors quite quickly, though was often seen as a try-hard by those who disapproved of her status. Her best friend became Beetlepounce as the two spent hours out of the day hunting together. By the time Plumpaw was named Plumnose, the two were closer than any cat could be.

As a warrior, Plumnose had gained her clanmates respect, but at the cost of distancing herself from her family. She rarely spoke to Brokenlight, even during his recovery, and Foxbite was little more than the deputy in her eyes. She aspired to be leader and thus was granted her first apprentice, Smokepaw, soon after becoming a warrior, as Wildstar saw her potential.

Plumnose was absolutely horrified when Foxbite carried out his plot against Wildstar and even more so when the true nature of her birth was revealed. She was so disgusted that she left the clan, fearing the retribution from her clanmates.

Plumnose was found again by Beetlepounce after Wildstar’s death and brought back to the clan reluctantly. She was surprised by her clanmate’s warm, albeit mourning, welcomes and mourned with them.

Russetkit --> Russetpaw --> Brokenlight --> Russetstorm

Russetkit and his sister, Plumkit, were born of an forbidden affair between the ambitious Shadowclan deputy, Foxbite, and his secret mate and ShadowClan medicine cat, Honeymoon. Brought into the clan under the guise of being abandoned kits, Russetkit and Plumkit were taken care of mostly by the elder queen, Deerflight before her retirement. He was treated as an outsider by most of the clan, who shared Wildstar’s views on clanborn cats. Wildstar himself knew the secret behind the kits arrival and refused to offer them the same fairness he had their peers.

Unlike his sister, Russetkit was heavily self-conscious, taking his clans opinions to heart and falling behind because of it. He was apprenticed a moon late due to his own timidness and was apprenticed under Flowertail, a very stern senior warrior. After Foxbite died in a botched attempt at killing Wildstar, the secret of Russetpaw and Plumpaw’s birth was revealed, leaving them as bigger outcasts from the clan than before. The only cat who seemed to show Russetpaw an ounce of kindness was his friend Swiftpaw, but they were quickly separated when Swiftmist became a warrior.

Russetpaw lagged behind in training but began to blossom after finally meeting eye to eye with his mentor. This was quickly crushed when Russetpaw was horrifically injured under a badger attack during a patrol. After being confined to the medicine cat den, Russetpaw’s spirit was broken and he barely had the motivation to eat. It is here that Wildstar granted him the warrior name, Brokenlight.

Brokenlight had a very slow recovery in which Wildstar nearly insisted he become the medicine cat apprentice. Brokenlight refused, spite beginning to fuel his motivations. He bonded briefly with his mother, Honeymoon, but began experiencing dreams of the Dark Forest, where his father lured his into plots of revenge.

During his path to recovery, Wildstar fell ill with greencough and took to staying in the medicine cat den. It’s here that Brokenlight had his opportunity to poison Wildstar secretly, causing his to lose his last life.

With Flowertail now leader, Brokenlight was renamed Russetstorm. Having finally come to the Warrior’s den, Russetstorm witnessed how much his clanmates grieved their old leader. It filled him with anger, seeing them mourn a leader who shunned part of his own clan. He was soon given Hailpaw as an apprentice, and slowly began to realize the gravity of what he’d done. He had killed the father of his apprentice and his best friend, Swiftmist, and their grief made him vow to change his ways. He stopped going to the Dark Forest and has been fighting to finally earn his place in his clan.
