“ He’s not MY friend. I appreciated his help back there, but playing hero for 3 seconds doesn’t change anything in my books. “ “ On another note, when are we set to leave? ”

“ Well then... We depart once everyone is awake and present with their belongings. Your Darkrai friend won’t be with us I presume, but he’s apart of your overall group and must be here as well to make sure everyone is accounted for. We wouldn’t want anyone left behind. ”

“ ...We’re forced to wait then... “ “ In the meantime, I’ll wake up Star. “

“ Huh? He’s not here yet? How long has he been gone for? “

“ Don’t know, I haven’t been up that long. Ask Drifblim if you’re that worried for him. “

“ Our friend, Kahli, said he’d be on the lookout. Did you see them return within that time at all? “

“ I haven’t seen them at all today. Maybe their double or triple checking the area by chance. “

The busy sound of the Café brings comfort to Romance Flag. The Shinigami watches the other patrons with fascination as she sips from her Boba.

Survival flag, who sat on the other side of the table, kept silent. Her eyes focused on the cup of tea in her hand. The aromatic smell of peaches calmed her thudding heart.

She disliked being in such crowded places, far too noisy for comfort. But when Romance Flag had asked her to come here, she found it hard to say no.

This scene was becoming more of an occurrence. The two of them spent time together outside the work of collecting flags. The Survival Shinigami wasn’t complaining about it, she just found all of it odd.

“Are you going to finish your tea, Se-chan?” Survival Flag looked up. How Romance Flag was looking at her made her cheeks feel warm. A sensation she can’t find the explanation for and it was irritating.

Instead of replying, the  Shinigami  drinks the tea. It was cold now, but the flavors were still bright. As she finishes the drink, she places the cup back onto the saucer, glancing at Romance Flag once more.

“What's wrong, Se-chan? You're not enjoying yourself?"

“I am fine.” Survival Flag forced herself to smile. “Thank you for asking me, though.”

Romance Flag didn’t reply immediately. She seemed deep in thought. But before long, the woman smiled. “Glad to hear that. Hope we can do this again.”
