Attention Citizens of New York City!
While the attention of the city was to plan a carnival that everyone could enjoy, weâve come to find it didnât turn out the way people were hoping. What should have been a weekend of ferris wheels, food trucks and fun carnival games quickly came to a fiery end as the exquisite entertainment tent caught ablaze, causing the innocent victims to succumb to a state of panic. Simply enjoying a live performance shouldnât be threatened by a life-altering situation.
Not only has a fire ruined this beloved carnival but also a food truck explosion, causing more terror to run through our family and friends. A ride has broken down causing civilians to be stranded and weâre getting word that people are stuck in the Maze of Mirrors. It pegs the question, was no one protecting this carnival? Does our city want us to get harmed?
Weâve seen for months now as New York Cityâs established and acclaimed qualities crumble into something less than satisfying. With crime rising and new gangs establishing their presence daily, it seems as if New York City will never be the same. As of now, there is no suspects in questioning for this act of cruelty. But we do know, is that this act of arson was no mistake. We cannot blame accidental cigarette butts and electrical mishaps. This was done with the intention to harm the innocent citizens of New York. And with no one claiming to have seen anything and our Police Department scrambling for something to say, we have to question: How safe are we really?
OOC INFO: Under the cut, youâll find a list of scenarios set at the May Fling Carnival after a fire broke out and caused a wave of panic among the attendees. Each group will only interact with characters within their assigned group for the next three (3) days, effective immediately. Take this opportunity to make new connections and threads with your fellow comrades. On June 1st at 10 AM EST, you will once again be able to interact with any and all characters. The event itself ends on May 3rd and we ask to please not make any new event starters beyond this point. However, we do encourage you all to continue and complete the threads youâve already started. For any questions or concerns, please donât hesitate to message the main.

Last night there was an incident that took place at the Christmas Charity Fundraiser. Drinks were spiked, there was some tampering with the air quality and we regret to inform you that there was one casualty last night. The Headmistress has been reported dead but the police are still searching for the body. We have several subjects in questioning and we plan on getting to the bottom of the matter as soon as possible. Be safe citizens and keep alert. If you see something, say something.Â
- NYPD
below the cut is where you can find the plot drop for the characters that attended the event:Â
Green:Â
Harmony and Tristan â Woke up in one half of the pairâs living room. Theyâre covered in face/body paint, and have stamps on their hands from a club. At least one is cuddling an absolutely giant stuffed animal.
Anthony and Garrison â So theyâve woken up dressed as superheroes, complete with capes and masks. And there might be stories all over social media regarding their apparent âcrimeâ fighting the night before. They also seem to have rescued a cat from a tree and serenaded it. Thereâs video.Â
Camila and Mia â From the looks of things, it seems like last night they both decided it was make-over time. Theyâve woken up in the same room with their hair dyed and in some particularly elaborate make-up and clothes.Â
Yellow:
Aiden and Alec â Woke up in central park, both appear to have been in a fight, and they have no idea if they beat each other up, or fought someone else. However, it must have ended well between them, because there appear to be sloppy attempts at patching each other up.
Michael and Kathryn â Theyâve woken up in one half of the pairâs home absolutely surrounded by large amounts of things they donât own. Did they steal it? Is one now in major credit card debt? Or did someone else buy it all?
Alex and Aleksi â Theyâve woken up beside one another, oddly close to the person beside them, stripped down to their underwear⊠cuddling? What did they do? Why are they so scuffed up?
Red:
Sloanne and Mason â Hospital roomies! Both woke up next to each other with moderate injuries as John/Jane Does. No identifying information was found on them.
Ethan and Bellamy â These two have woken up covered in blood. A lot of it. With a weapon suspiciously close to one of them, only neither seems to be hurt.
Evie and Caleb â Theyâve both woken up in a holding cell at the local police department. They look a little rough, torn clothes, messy hair, maybe some minor injuries. And they have absolutely no idea what theyâve been arrested for. Possibly the death of the headmistress?
Juliet and Liam â Are they in a drug house? Yes, they are definitely in a drug house. And some of these people donât really look too thrilled to see them there.
Jax and Brendon â The room theyâre in looks like a tornado hit it. Everythingâs a mess, including them. Neither is in great shape, but theyâre not really concerned about that ⊠because the Akamai Headmistress is beside them and very, very dead.Â
Danny and Vicky â They wake up in an alleyway, covered in trash with the actual murder weapon beside them.Â
Chase and Taylor â Both parties wake up in a dim room, same bed, handcuffed to one another. If it wasnât either of their rooms? Where were they?
Baby and Ezra â Theyâve woken up, one wounded terribly. And who gave them that wound? The only other person in the room with them. And it doesnât make it better that they have each other's name tattooed on their arm.Â
Levi and Connor âThey wake up on the top floor of an abandoned building, nothing on them except for a burner phone. All it says is âYou did it.â
Ryan and Ashley â Both wake up in a basement, minor injuries ( scrapes and bruises ) with weapons scattered around them.
Charlie and Rachel â They wake up in a room where pictures of them from last night, passed out on the floor, have been posted everywhere in New York City. Could this ruin a reputation or expand your customers?

This is all good drama and weâd love for most of them to actually happen.Â

Ryan doesnât know it, but his drugs have been jacked from him in order to help him become a better person and stop disappointing people. Katherine, Tyler, Taylor, Mason, Katherine, Charlene, Maya and Wilser have all been given a small dose of LSD and have been led astray by someone without them noticing to a classroom in the school. They find themselves together, stuck in a room, not knowing how to get out. Everyone ends up teaming up, leaving Tyler with Katherine, Charlene and Maya with Mason and Wilser with Taylor.Â
Charles sees Ashley causing a scene and once sheâs done with Kat, he pulls her away and takes her to the bathroom to help her sober up.Â
Declan is looking for a new prey and he catches himself looking at Lexi. She can notice how shy she is and he wonders how effective his bad boy skills are. With that, he approaches her and with simply extending his hand, he takes her away to dance and a night of getting to know each other.Â
After spending some time with the punch to his lips, Julian finds himself talking to Clara and spilling his guts about his family. Clara doesnât know it but heâs being recorded by a device planted on Claraâs dress -- which she isnât aware of.Â
Estella has been ordered by the crown to spend her days in Bernedette Fowlerâs office with the hope that some of the herbs there will help her prophecies become more rapid. She has been ordered to discover all she can about the whereabouts of the Titans and of future attacks. As before, they are false and always directed across the city from the Millsâ or the Inn.
Estella stood outside Bernadette Fowlerâs door with her breath caught in her chest. By order of the crown Estella has been sentenced to spend her days with the woman, eating her potions and herbs in an attempt to expose the rebels and their hiding places. A task Estella did not want to have to do. Estella did not fully agree with the crown, she found herself allying more with the rebels than the royals, and she did not want to be responsible for putting any of them in jail. That was why she lied day after day about her dreams and visions. Estella knew where most of the rebels and those aiding them could be found and she would be damned if she were to let an of them be caught. So she faked her prophecies, leading the army of knights further and further from the truth.Â
Estella knew what would happen should the rebels be found. She dreamt of destruction, of death, of smoke and fire. She dreamt of birds falling dead from the skies, of stars crashing into homes. And for the first time in a long time Estella felt confident of what her dreams meant. Chaos was to be the future of this city. Killing and imprisoning the rioters wouldnât stop the war to come. The war that was put into motion the day Caelan disappeared.Â
So without knocking Estella entered the house, the only thing on her mind being how she was going to protect her friends, family, and those she sided with.Â
THIS is a plot shuffle. Basically, you give us free-reign to do whatever we want with your character in a plot. The object is to pair people up with others they don't talk/hang out with very much to make them share an experience that brings them together and makes them friends or enemies -- a connection, basically.Â

Itâs said the universe was created from a big bang. Weâre surrounded by galaxies, black holes, the mystery of the eternal enigma called space. Are you ready for A Night Under the Stars? Itâs that time of year again, the one that everyone has been looking forward to all year long: junior prom! The themes are: purple, silver, gold, white, black, and blue. If you want to get in, youâre required to wear formal attire, and make sure you get a ticket. If youâre bringing someone not in high school, better make sure you get one for them too or else they canât get through the door.
Sam Winchester knows like no other that demon blood increases a human's strength, so he approaches Rebekah Mikaelson at the prom when he gets an idea - maybe demon blood can make her stop aging since it has such an effect on humans? He calls in the help of Ruby, who gives the girl some blood. However, it fails on the aging blonde, and she feels even more weak than before, coughing up blood and showing signs of dementia.
Lexi Branson shows up with her date Stefan Salvatore, but when she gets cursed with hallucinations of her dead brother, it's up to her best friend to help her through the prom. She sees her sibling everywhere, and he blames her for having died all those centuries ago. Will Stefan be able to find a cure for his best friend? Maybe the council is the only one who can fix this. But he'll have to be in time, or Lexi might lose it completely and stake herself.
Davina Claire has her powers disabled by the council, not knowing that they've brainwashed Buffy Summers, who is now out to kill the young witch, that being her main mission. Brooke Davis has had a vision of this, but she's too late, and Davina ends up dying during the prom. Buffy feels completely guilt ridden afterwards, knowing she's supposed to protect people, not kill them.
Phoenix Oakley is pulled away from prom when a brainwashed Amelia Salvatore has helped The First Evil with letting loose a group of demons. However, Tobias Richter and Lee Montoya somehow end up working together to keep those demons (still in smoke form) contained within the restaurant that Phoenix owns, fighting off the Harbingers who are the lackeys of The First Evil. Amelia sets the place on fire, releasing the demons - all ready to possess poor souls...
Zoey Gallagher is dragged away from prom mysteriously, and ends up in the vampire's tomb, beneath Fell's church. She can't get out, and appears to be stuck with many desiccated vampires, and Zoey happens to be human... When Caroline Forbes takes a quick route to prom, she happens to hear the blonde, and makes a deal with a demon, in order to save the human.
Olivia Miller gets possessed by one of the demons that were released from the restaurant, and it changes her whole behavior at prom. She's no longer the one in control, and god knows when the demon taking over her body will leave and decide to find someone else to possess.
Kennedy Fisher gets cursed with the werewolf gene, and now she'll know what it's like to be a supernatural being. She'll have to deal with being a werewolf until Wednesday, after the next full moon has occurred...

Who â Liam Slater and Charlotte Davenport
Where â The Mystic Grill
Summary â After a clumsy accident at the Grill, Liam finds himself with an injury that just won't stop bleeding. Charlotte, fighting for control over her hunger, is drawn in by the scent of his blood. When she begins to show a little too much interest, Liam's suspicions towards her grow. Once he lures her out of the Grill, he confirms his belief and leaves her with a clear warning.
Charlotte: Charlotte didn't often find herself sitting at The Mystic Grill, that night was an exception. Had she only visited that quite infamous bar a couple of times and that was always to satisfy that one need she wasn't all too proud about. And just like on any other night, Charlotte wore something a little more than her usual casual, something matching with her ocean hues that she now used for simply to just to observe her surrounding. She was wary and she was careful, every since that little incident she had when she had been out to seek her dinner, she certainly didn't want anything alike to happen again. And maybe she was even too wary? She didn't feel confident nor safe in her surrounding, she didn't feel like she was up for the task. It only led Charlotte into a decision to finish off her non-alcoholic drink before she left her seat and began to walk through bar. It wasn't until she had nearly reached the exit door when she heard a loud bang and a glass shattering by the bar. A curiosity had her to glance over her shoulder, just to see someone, someone he recalled to have met once or twice before, dropping the handle of a bottle from his hand and to have that sweet familiar scent of blood crossing the air for her just to smell. For a second Charlotte considered making a leave, not looking back as she felt the veins below her eyes doing what they always did when her body reacted to the worst possible craving she had. It took her body only a couple of second to make the decision for her, against her better will. "Do you need a help with that?", she approached the man as she recalled, "Liam, was it?", her words soft and almost with a tone of persuading.
Liam: At this point in his life, Liam had sported enough injuries and shed enough blood to be able to handle a small wound like this. Of course, that didn't meant that it wasn't a complete nuisance. With the blood seeping from the wound, it was difficult to decipher just how deep the cut actually was, which of course made it difficult to figure out what exactly he was going to have to do about it. He hoped, at the very least, that he wouldn't have to worry about getting it stitched up. He was having a rough enough time in life without having to deal with that. Sighing out of frustration, he brought his other hand to his forehead, trying to rub the tension away. It was about the time that he'd grabbed a few napkins to hold onto the wound that he heard a somewhat familiar voice from beside him. Glancing up, there was a bit of recognition in his eyes as he nodded slowly. "That's right. And you were..." His eyebrows pulled together in thought, but try though he might, he couldn't recall her name. "What, this?" He looked down at his hand, shrugging one shoulder. "I take it you're not squeamish, huh?"
Charlotte: It didn't help anything that Charlotte took one too deep inhale as her nose picked on the fresh smell of blood, it didn't help anything that she had already been hungry when she had first arrived to that damned place and it didn't help anything that she was trying so hard to restrain herself that it made it even harder for her to control the hunger that cut her deep in her stomach, almost enough to make her feel sick with herself. Charlotte once used to have full control over herself, it seemed as of she was losing her touch, and she had an Original to blame for that. Her eyes were quick to examine the scene that she was intruding to, and once standing beside man who held a think napkin onto his would, she let took a subtle but close look at the blood that was already staining the napkin. "Charlotte", she reminded him with a gentle smile that decorated her red painted lips, her blue eyes not able to decide if to focus upon the eyes set on her or on the hand that was bleeding right next to her. She shook her head at his question and finally met the eyes of the man. "Do you need help with that?", she found her voice smooth and soft but she could not help it, "Because that napkin is not much of help."
Liam: "Charlotte, right." He snapped the fingers on his uninjured hand. Surely he should have remembered her, but there was probably a lot of aspects of Mystic Falls that he had purposely chosen to forget. Liam glanced over at her curiously, though he kept the majority of his expression blank. There was something about the way that she kept adamantly asking if he needed help with the injury that seemed to rub him the wrong way. Most people asked once and left it at that, but there was something off about the way she was handling this. "Huh, guess it's not," he agreed, taking a quick glance down at his hand and then moved his gaze to take in their surroundings. If his suspicions were right, this was the worst place for them to make themselves known. But he wanted to be sure before he did anything. "What would you do to help?"
Charlotte: The smile Liam received was almost apologizing with a hint of wariness in it, "Unless of course, you rather just handle it by yourself.", she said with a tone matching to the smile attached to her painted lips, not everybody wanted help of any kind but. The fresh blood, the scent was absolutely distracting to her mind, and although her blue hues remained in an eye contact with his, there was that reflect that made her want to glance down at his hand with her mouth watering to the taste that she could imagine in her mouth. "Well first off I'd say running that---", her hand making a small gesture above his bleeding hand, "Under water and then make sure there was no glass in it. And then you should probably wrap something around it to stop the bleeding without having to stitch it up.", she added after a beat, "And I just happen to have a scarf in my purse.". She maintained her voice soft and not too eager. Charlotte knew that she should have just walk away, mind her own business but instead, she did what she did the best, offered her assistance with kindness.
Liam: He glanced over at her curiously. It probably made sense to run it under water and look to make sure that none of the glass shards had broken off in the wound. But there was still something unusual about the way she was looking at him. Her words were almost too calculated, enough to make him question her motives at the very least. "I'll take the scarf, if you don't mind losing it to the cause." He smiled slightly and took another glance around. Nobody seemed to be paying them the slightest bit of attention, for now at least. "C'mon, I think I need a bit of fresh air. I'll get this taken care of, but I could use some company You know, to keep my mind off it." He passed off an innocent little smile and headed for the exit door, checking briefly to make sure that she was still following. If she was what he thought she was, it would be best to get out of the crowded Grill and somewhere a bit more secluded before he confronted her about it.
Charlotte: His words earned a gentle chuckle from her lips, Charlotte could see why someone would see his point but the truth was that she almost always had a scarf with her in case of an emergency, not quite for emergencies like this but a bleeding wound was a bleeding wound. "I don't. And if you feel bad about it, you can repay for my scarf. Somehow.", a smile painted her lips, a smile that was innocent, she was looking for a light tone into her words, yet a little play of flirt came at them. And then steady, still innocent smile held her lips as she looked around, his words came off as surprise to her. "Are you sure you don't want to take care of that first?", though, he passed his question as he already next headed for the exit door. "I--- Well...", her lips fell open after him. Maybe she should have turned around and leave instead of going out with a stranger but Charlotte never knew better than to trust a stranger.
Liam: "Somehow I'll find a way to make it up to you," he reassured her, allowing himself to be a bit more free with his flirtatious side. There was something to be said for being charming even in the worst possible situations. If he could keep her off his trail, keep her from realizing that he suspected her of anything, it would make his job a hell of a lot easier. Confident that she was, in fact, following him, Liam stepped through the exit to the Grill, glancing around. The area was mercifully empty of bystanders. That made it even easier on him. Carefully, he unwrapped the scarf from his hand, taking a quick look at the wound. It was still bleeding fairly generously. After a moment, Liam held it out towards her, the wound facing upwards. "How bad do you think this looks? Is it worth goin' to the hospital over?" His eyes were carefully trained on her face, looking for any impulse or sign of temptation, anything that would give him reason enough to prove his suspicions.
Charlotte: She responded to the vague flirt that she could barely tell from his tone with just as vague smile, she could not deny the charm that Liam Slater possessed with that charming spark in his eyes. And so she followed him, of course she should have wondered why their first stop wasn't in the restroom to wash off the blood on his hand but Charlotte's first concern was the strong smell of blood that kept enticing and caressing her senses. Outside she let him lead her till he decided to stop and unwrap the cover from his hand, the scent of blood struck immensely rich her senses. The vampire barely caught his words with the bleeding wound offering her irresistible distraction. "I...", the words got stuck in her throat, Charlotte had to remind herself that she did not want to feed on this man, she truly didn't. Her eyelids fell shut as she forced herself not to breathe the scent, her face glanced down at the palm that stood out above everything else in her mind, and maybe it was just a vibrant second but her veins below her eyes pulsated to the surface before she had a control once again. Once that feeling beneath her eyes faded again, she gave a wary glance up at the man staring down at her, "It does look worse than I thought.", her words were soft spoken as she gave him a light shook with her head.
Liam: There it was. Over the years, Liam's instincts had been honed, growing stronger with every hunt and kill that he made. He had been around enough werewolves and vampires to know what exactly to look for. Hungry vampires, in particular, were easier to feel out and attract the attention of. And while he hadn't had any intentions that day of actually doing any hunting, the opportunity had presented itself anyways. Never one to turn down an opportunity to put a supernatural being in their place, naturally he was going to jump on the chance. "Just what I thought," he commented, a triumphant bitterness to his tone as he dug into the pocket of his jacket. Pulling out a little vial, he undid the cap and tossed the liquid contents onto the girl. Vervain. "This is your warning, vamp. You come anywhere near any of the humans in this town, you feed on any of them, and you're dead." There was a harshness to his tone as he took a step closer to her, his hand on the hilt of the gun he kept in his jacket. It was full of wooden bullets, and he could put one through her heart in a matter of seconds if it came down to it. "If anyone dies of a vampire attack in this town from here on out, you're number one on my list."
Charlotte: It took only second for Charlotte to realize how the air and everything between them shifted only in matter of gasp of her breath. She should have seen it coming, she should have known better by now but she had never saw it coming when Liam's words carried out with a triumphant bitterness as he hand dug something out from his pocket. She was already taking a slow step back with her hands lifted up in surrender, "It isn't---", 'what you think' but she never could finish off her soft spoken terror as the liquid already splashed at her skin, the burning sensation instantly spread on her skin and it felt like toxic. A cry of pain left pass her lips and she covered her face with her hands as she took one and two steps back away from the hunter than had surprised her. She could hear his voice harsh and cold through the pain that burnt her. "I don't---", she begin with pleading words against her hands but then she looked back at him, everything about his cold and outstanding hate upon his features had her voice faded out into the thin air. "I was never going to hurt you.", her soft spoken words were her goodbye at the hunter that showed no sign of backing down. Was it wary fear and hurt that possessed the shade of blue in her eyes as she gave at him that one last look before she did what she should have done in the first place. She took off on her feet, disappearing out of his sight within a blink of an eye.
Who â Cole, Elizabeth, Jen, Maggie
Where â O'Malley's
Summary âMaggie Tyrell and Jennifer Allen decide that the best way to wait out the storm is with a good bottle of wine at OâMalleys. Two women decide to commiserate on the tragic pasts when they get some unexpected visitors. Naturally Cole Westwood stumbled his way into his favorite bar to join the party. For the handful of older adults in Hollow Grove it was like they reverted back to their high school selves all over again. In her attempt to gather up her pack Elizabeth Smythe shows up at OMalleyâs looking for some not realizing how late it has gotten she is forced to turn. In the chaos of her turning a fire is started.Â
Cole: Cole had been driving through the harsh cold, taking care of a few last minute things that called to his attention such as work and some cheap entertainment of his aquaintences when the storm had hit hard enough to make him realize that going much further was hopeless, and home impossible. Though, through the snow he saw a beacon of hope and hopefully one of the Tyrell sisters to share the misery of the weather with. It seemed to be on his regular schedule anyway, so why not spend the evening trapped with the original? He parked outside and climbed over the snow, entering the bar with one last shiver of cold and looked around to see an unexpected face in the dark bar. "Hello, ladies. Am I interrupting?" He asked, but took a seat at the bar regardless of the answer that they had to give, leaving one seat between him and Jen.
Jen: Jen had popped open a bottle of wine and poured herself a generous drink, grateful to at least be in the company of someone she liked if she was to be stuck with anyone at all. It was certainly much better than going home to an empty house. What she hadn't really been expecting was more company, however. She sat up a little straighter as she heard the door open, the wind blowing treacherously outside. Spotting Cole, she raised an eyebrow and returned to her drink. "If we said you were, would you care?" she asked, knowing very well that it wouldn't change anything. "Although I shouldn't really be surprised to find you here," she added after a beat, taking a drink of wine. "How's the weather looking?" Not that she particularly cared what the storm was doing outside, but at least it gave them something to talk about, if only briefly.
Maggie: Maggie knew that if there was one thing in this town that she could rely on, it was the weather changing it's mind more than an indecisive bride-to-be. Truthfully, she couldn't complain. The bar was empty and she had a few bottles of wine she had special ordered that she still hadn't tested-- and she figured now would be the best time to break a few of those out. Heading her way back out to back from the storage room and out to the bar, Maggie was grateful to see such a friendly face coming through the door. Carefully setting down the box of bottles on the pool table, she smirked in response to her friend, "Hey there Miss Frozen Jen. You're in luck, I just got a new shipment in." Without hesitation, she pulled out the first bottle in site and made her way around the bar, "Let's see what this surprise has in store, because you're right, I'm always in need of a glass of wine." As she headed her way around to the seat beside her companion, as the all too familiar face made his way into her place. While Cole hadn't been much of a pain as of late, Maggie appreciated Jen's response as she found a good sense of humor in it-- resulting in a fit of laughter knowing that Cole was in fact interrupting.
Cole: He shrugged and shook his head, bluntly answering the first question. âNo, I wouldnât. Iâm already here.â He looked around the bar, seeing no one else. It was a curious thing to see Jen there, heâd been there enough times to know who visited on a normal basis. âMy car doesnât like the snow, it was either here or the mall and Iâd prefer not to deal with those people running around because of the storm.â He sighed deeply, suddenly more irritated that the snow blocked him from leaving and he wasnât about to go sit in the cold because they wanted some private time. âThe weather is shitty, thanks for asking.â He leaned back on the bar, looking at Maggie and the crate of nice looking wines. âCan I grab my own drink or should I wait for you to be done with those?â He rolled his shoulders back and tried to shrug off some of the snow that had started to melt on his coat.
Jen: There was an amused smirk on her face as she glanced from Cole to Maggie. "Can you believe it, Maggie? He didn't want to go shopping on a day like this." She raised the glass to her lips again, pausing momentarily to shoot a glance in Cole's direction. "I guess Victoria's Secret will just have to wait until tomorrow to get your business." She finally took a sip of her wine, drumming her fingertips against the bar. Admittedly, it would have been nice to have some one on one time with Maggie; it had been a while since the two of them had really had the opportunity to sit down and talk about anything, and if she had ever needed a confidante, now was the time. But she could wait until later on when the storm had passed and Cole had managed to meander out of their company again.
Maggie: Bitterness usually followed Cole around like a lost puppy, so Maggie didn't think twice of his more than harsh attitude. Most times, she was fine with it and even appreciated the mood he'd bring into her life-- but weather like this just made him a little less than tolerable. Sipping from her glass, Maggie couldn't help but choke at Jen's remarks. Regaining her breath and placing an amused smirk across her face, Maggie couldn't help but add fuel to the fire. "I guess they might just go out of business without receiving their daily business from Mister Westwood here. I know O'Malley's sure as hell would if it wasn't for him." Enjoying her free time amongst the unpleasant weather, she had become quite comfortable as the laughs kept rolling. "Regulation calls for me to go behind the counter, although, I don't think any health inspectors are going to be out in this sort of weather so get off your ass and get it yourself."
Cole: Cole rolled his eyes at the bit of attitude that Jen always showed him, he figured that if these girls got any chance theyâd turn on him verbally. It was the only way he could win anything against the two vampires, but it seemed like them doubling up on him would come back to bite him in the ass. âIâm flattered by the thoughts, girls, but I donât think I want to know what pervy thoughts youâve got stuck in your heads.â He said, only partially true. He rolled his eyes and gave a lazy salute to Maggie. âHappy to do my duty for the bar.â He got up, walking around the bar and grabbed a glass from the shelf that they rested and made himself a drink. âNever know, they could pop in during the storm out of convenience for everyone.â He drank from the glass, leaning against the bar from the inside and watched Maggie handle the box with a bored look.
Jen: Her eyebrows furrowed slightly at Cole's response, her features twisting into an expression of mock disgust. "I wasn't thinking anything pervy until you mentioned anything, and quite frankly, I think I could use some brain bleach right about now. Whatever appetite I might have had is certainly gone now." She shuddered a bit, a laugh managing to sneak past her lips as she leaned her arms on the bar. "Out of sheer curiosity, how much money do you think Cole spends here? Let's say yearly average." She glanced over at Maggie with a conspiratorial grin. Picking on Cole was one of her favorite pastimes, and the fact that he'd openly interrupted her little pow wow with Maggie only made him an easier target. Running her finger around the rim of the glass, Jen took a look at the interior of the place. "I'm actually a little surprised that there aren't more people here seeking refuge from Mother Nature."
Elizabeth: If there was ever an inconvenient day for a blizzard, today definitely would be the day. The harshness of the wind nipped her skin however, Elizabeth Smythe could hardly think of her discomfort. She had a mission â search Hollow Grove high and low for her packmates and bring them back to the Smythe estate. With the full moon rising, there could only be trouble should the wolves be left unchained and able to roam the once quiet town. After all, they were vicious and their natures called for them to main any vampire in sight. And letâs be honest, it was hard enough as it is to control herself in a town of vampires, let alone wolves that didnât take easy to their transitions. She can see the OâMalley building with their lights on, Liz hesitates before leading herself into it. The warmth of the bar was comforting however, the presence of two vampires being Maggie Tyrell and Jennifer Allen was not. She can see Cole Westwood is among them but she pushes away her discomfort. âIâll make this quick,â Liz finally speaks, âIâm looking for my wolves. But from what I can see, theyâre not here. Unless you want to tell me otherwise.â Her hazel eyes glance at the clock somewhat alarmed but yet adamant on being sure no wolf was in the vicinity.
Cole: Cole looked directly at Jen with an extremely skeptical look. âYou mention Victoriaâs Secret to a man and you think that thereâs nothing dirty going on in their head? I thought better of you, Jen.â He shamed her mockingly and shook his head at her. He looked up at Maggie at the next question and pointed at her, âThatâs confidential information, youâre not supposed to give that out.â He was smirking when he heard the door open up to his surprise. He didnât know many wolves that came to the place at all, so seeing Elizabeth there was certainly a surprise of sorts. He looked around to the vampires in the room, gauging their reactions to her before speaking. âEvening, Liz. As far as I know, your pack isnât here. Sorry to break it to you.â He shrugged, knowing that the tension in the room would only build with the more time that Liz spent there.
Jen: As hard a time as she had been giving Cole for showing up unexpectedly, his presence wasn't all that terrible. He kept things interesting, at the very least. But it was the next newcomer's arrival that set Jen's nerves on edge. Any humor that had been circulating through the air seemed to disperse entirely. Her jaw clenched as she watched Elizabeth Smythe walk into the building. It was really no secret that the two couldn't stand each other, for obvious reasons. Jen shot a quick glance in Maggie's direction, trying to gauge her friend's reaction before she turned back to the Original. "I think it's safe to say your kind doesn't make a habit of hanging around here, Elizabeth." She set her glass of wine down and crossed her arms.
Elizabeth: At Coleâs words, she gives a short nod, relieved at the news. âThank you, Westwood.â She knew that most wolves would pick different places to take refuge but better safe than sorry. The mere sight of Jennifer could make Liz scoff â praying for the day that she could finally lay a hand on her, âWell youâre here so thatâs good enough reason to scare âem off, Jen-Jen.â As that jeer fell out of her mouth, a sickening crack breaks the silence as Liz lets out a soft cry. Damn it. She thought, damning herself for not checking the time. The full moon was rising and the last place Elizabeth shouldâve been was in the room with an Original vampire, Jennifer Allen and Cole Westwood. She crumbles to the floor, as her painstaking transition to wolf begun. Unlike most werewolves, being that she had been doing it for long enough â it was quicker. Looking up at the three figures, âG-get out, now.â She demanded but soon it wasnât a blonde on the ground but a large wolf with red eyes with one intention â kill everything in sight.
Cole: He nodded at the words, but sighed a bit at the comments that sounded like the start to a cat fight, only a few hundred times more deadly. He wasnât going to get in between the two of them, he knew he couldnât do anything against them with the bits of protection against the supernatural in town that he carried around on his person at all times. He was watching the fight start to unfold, only to be broken by the blonde's body to start deforming in front of them. Heâd grown up alongside werewolves, but he had never seen one shift in front of his own eyes. All he knew was that the entire situation was something that was pulled right out of a nightmare. It took him a few seconds to register the words and started to move around the counter quickly, keeping his eyes on Liz while he touched Jenâs arm lightly. âCâmon.â He spoke softly, realizing that they were in danger.
Jen: Elizabeth's remark wasn't entirely unexpected, and Jen had already prepared a retort for the occasion when the sound of snapping bones echoed through the building. The words died on her tongue as her eyes widened slightly. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know what was happening. An expletive fell from her lips as she stood up, knocking the bar stool over in the process. Her eyes quickly surveyed the area, taking note of the fact that Elizabeth was in their path to the front exit; trying to get past her would surely end disastrously. Elizabeth may have had self-control in her human form, but as a wolf, Jen knew she wouldn't hesitate to kill them. Cole's hand on her arm brought her from her thoughts and she nodded, backing away from the wolf. She took his hand and ran for the nearest door, making sure he was in ahead of her before she stepped in and shut it. It occurred to her briefly, in the tangle of her thoughts, that Maggie wasn't with them, but surely her friend had good enough sense to get out of there as quickly as possible, even if the bite of a werewolf wouldn't end her life permanently. "I need something to block the door with."
Elizabeth: Snarling, the lycanthrope stared at the figures in the room â the one she was hell-bent on taking down was Maggie Tyrell which took away from killing Jennifer and Cole. After all, it was that family that Liz detested the most although Maggie never truly took part of the ongoing war. But in this state â she knew she had to hold it together as well as she could without the chains sheâd been so used to for the thirty years. It was impossible to keep still, as she craved to run hating the confinement. Her head turned as the vampire and human made a dash towards the door, following them not being aware enough to realize she had knocked over the array of alcohol. It took one spark from a candle to send it all into unadulterated flames. And as any breathing creature, she needed to breathe air â not smoke. Her huge body bit the back entrance as the flames grew as it hit the barâs cabinet.
Maggie: Elizabeth was the last person that Maggie expected to see walking through the door, and while the act was fairly innocent, she couldn't help but be hostile. Confirming the negativity of any presence of her pack pups, Maggie impulsively urged the werewolf to the leave the premises-- but almost instantly the woman fell to the ground and it was clear to the three what was inevitably occurring. Seeing the other two beeline safely out the front exit, Maggie pivoted in her heels as she swiftly made her way out the back door. Less than a few seconds later she was caught off guard as the wolf did just the same, but for her own subsistence, she made straight quick to her home without looking back, despite what condition Liz left the bar in.
Cole: Cole looked around the small room that Jen had lead him to for safety. His heart was pounding in his chest as he looked at the walls around them. âThis isnât the fire exit.â He said out loud to point out that they werenât home free just yet. They were still in the bar and had no idea what was happening on the other side of the door and he had no idea how they were going to get out of there. âSomething to block the door from a werewolf? Should we use a chair?â He didnât mean to lash at her, but his mind was thinking about if there really was anything that they could use to keep the door closed. He mumbled curses under his breath, looking at Jen. âWhat are we going to do?â He asked seriously, hoping that she had a better plan than trapping them in the contained space.
Jen: "Excuse me for not knowing this place like the back of my hand," Jen snapped in return, throwing an irritated glance in his direction. It wasn't as though she'd been able to think all that clearly under the pressure. The only thought in her mind had been to get out of Elizabeth's sight and more importantly out of the way of her teeth. She leaned back against the door, rubbing her temples as she took a few steadying breaths. "How are there not windows in here?" she muttered, taking a quick glance around the storage room as she tried to ignore the commotion out in the main area of the bar. "We'll just have to wait -" She stopped talking abruptly, sniffing at the air. "Do you smell smoke?"
Cole: He groaned at the snippy comeback, regretting starting the argument in this situation where she could very well save him. He'd put a hand through his hair, grabbing a chunk to perhaps hold a thought in one place for a second. He looked at her as she spoke. Waiting out the wolf didn't seem like the best plan to him, but it was what they had. "Alright," He agreed hesitantly, hoping that he could trust her word, but of course, it couldn't be that easy for them. "Smoke?" He asked and sniffed the air to verify that she was still sane. He stepped around her, looking at her feet that stood against the door and had faint, grey tendrils curling around her feet grow darker with passing moments. "Yes, apparently." He grabbed her, pulling her away from the source of smoke and opened the door a crack to look into the main bar. "It's empty, but on fire. We need to get out of here." He stated promptly. Nothing had to be complicated, just get out.
Jen: It had seemed, at one point, that it was impossible for this night to get any worse, but seeing the smoke billowing through the crack under the door proved that idea wrong. Jen moved away from the door, her arms crossed as she tapped her foot anxiously. If it wasn't the werewolf bite, it was a fire. Either one would kill her. "Right, okay." Jen nodded, clasping her hands together momentarily. "Okay, you need to cover your mouth. I'd rather not have to drag you to the hospital for smoke inhalation." She didn't even know how bad the fire was, but in a building that held this much alcohol, they had to get out quickly before the entire place went up. "You go first. I'll be right behind you." As concerned as she was about getting caught in the fire, she didn't want him to meet that fate either. Not only that, but it'd be easier to take a sweeping glance around the place to make sure Maggie was out without holding him up.
Cole: He had closed the door after she looked like she had a plan, thinking that it might help them get some time to think. "Alright." He nodded and let out a breath, grasping the situation at hand. "Okay," He confirmed once more, meaning that he had a firm handle on it now. It was now or never, and he was determined to make it now. "Don't die." He stated before pulling his shirt over his mouth and nose and proceeded to cover over both features as he opened the door and ventured into the quickly boiling room. He dashed to the other side where he'd seen the fire exit so many times before and pushed the door open with his shoulder, shoving his way through roughly. The change in temperature squeezed on his lungs tightly and stung his skin, but over all he was fine. A few shaken breathes would confirm that he was alive.
Jen: She looked over at him and nodded. Dying wasn't exactly on her agenda for the day. There was a moment's hesitation between the time that he stepped out of the room and the time that she followed him. Fire had grown to be one of her fears, for obvious reasons, and stepping into the blazing room wasn't necessarily her favorite option. But when it was a matter of life or death, she had to get past it. She covered her mouth and nose half-heartedly, pausing in the middle of the room to throw a quick glance around for any signs of Maggie. Not catching sight of her, Jen ran out of the building after Cole. Coughing a bit, she rested her hands on her knees, turning her head to look at him. "You alright?" She glanced back up at the burning building; within hours, it'd be nothing but ash and rubble. After a moment, her gaze wandered up to the moon, full and bright in the sky. "You should get home."
Cole: His breath slowly became regulated and he looked at her on the ground, glad to see that she was unscathed. He looked at the bar he'd spent countless hours by himself and with Lex. It was a little crushing to see the thing go down, but it was better than being inside it when it decided to give out. "I'm alright." He turned from the building, putting his back to it as he took a seat in the snow next to her. "How about you?" He ignored the suggestion for the moment and let the cool air settle against them with the crackles of the fire building up behind them being the only other noise.
Jen: "I'm fine," she responded distractedly, rubbing gently at her forehead as she looked at the building. Jen was grateful enough that nobody had gotten caught in the building, but she shuddered to think what could easily have happened if they hadn't gotten out when they did. This was going to be a mess to deal with in the morning. She couldn't help but wonder how many more werewolves were running wild tonight. The thought made her cast a quick glance around, taking in their surroundings. The street seemed empty enough for the time being at least. "I doubt Elizabeth is the only wolf out on the streets tonight," she commented, looking down at him. "It's not safe out here. For either of us." Jen offered a hand to help him to his feet. "Get home, okay? The sooner, the better. I've got some people to check up on." She took a few steps in the direction of the boutique before pausing to look back at him. "Cole? Be careful."
Cole: He looked up at her, exhausted by the adrenalin leaving his system and nodded. She had a point, if a Smythe had made the mistake of being out like that there were others out. He took her hand and pulled himself up, looking around the streets and the piles of snow around them. "Alright, I'm going to head out." He took out his keys from his pocket as she started to walk away but looked up at his name. The concern on her face fit the situation, just as real and dangerous as it was inside the small room. He nodded, accepting the kind words. "You too, Jen." He said and walked to his car.
