the scene with spencer caleb and hanna has got to be the most emotional and intense scene of this entire show and iâm still not over it
that was the second good episode of pll in a row i'm starting to get suspicious stop playing me like that
that spaleb scene with hanna was 3 minutes of intense internal screaming because all i want is spaleb to stay together that's it that's all i want from this show anymore
omg i cannot believe i just watched the first decent, maybe even quite good, episode of pretty little liars in like 3 years?? iâm so confused donât play me like that pll

new pll episode went totally hannibal lecter wtf (at least thatâs what alisonâs situation with the mask is reminding me of lmao)
So Spencer got a Text...
While Emily was talking to Spencer, saying it was really important to go see Ali and all, Spencer got a text and seemed nervous. Then said it was work.
At the end of the episode we get to know Spencer got fired over text. True and all, but I donât think that was the same text.
When she got the text, her reaction was peculiar, she almost seemed scared that Emily would see something, and felt the need to justify and specify who was texting her. I donât know, it gave me a weird vibe.
Last episode she was texting someone asking âHow do you know Hanna is alive?â and many of us speculated she was texting somebody who may be her twin sister.
I think the text she got during this episode was from the same person to whom she was texting in the premiere, someone with whom she doesnât want Emily to know sheâs in contact.
The first date.
Ezra and Aria had been going strong ever since they returned from the exhibit in Philadelphia. Or so she thought. Yeah, they went to an exhibit and it was the first time they had gone out in public, but Aria still felt that someone was missing.
âThat first dateâ Spencer had told her one night when they were the two of them alone.
Aria didnât want to think about the truth in her friendâs words that much but she couldnât help it. On one hand she didnât agree with it because, well, their relationship wasnât exactly normal. But she did agree with it. A lot actually, because she was still a girl with girly dreams. So she wanted a romantic first date where the guy makes the girl swoon.
And so she spoke with Ezra about it, getting a complete opposite reaction to what she was hoping for.
âWhat do you mean a first date? We just went to that Philly thingâ He paused to think about his words âAria, you know we canât be seen out with each other. Is this still about Simone? Look I told you that I donât like her like thatâ
To say that Aria was surprised would be an understatement. Ezra Fitz, the guy who always seemed to understand her more than anyone else, was seeing black while Aria saw white.
âI just thought youâd at least understandâ After thinking so much about what to say about this, it was the only words that seemed to make sense.
Of course, she was sulking on Monday. It just showed how important this was to her, but Ezra didnât seem to notice it when Aria stepped inside the classroom.
Usually she wouldnât be one to skip unless it was really important, but she didnât find another solution to her feelings.
Betrayal. It was a strong word, really strong. But also the only one that seemed to describe her feelings correctly. Was she heart-broken? Not so much. Did she feel angry? Aria didnât seem to find it in her to ever be mad at Ezra. At least not right now.
Desperately, she found herself in a doorstep she didnât expect to see in a long time. Noel Kahnâs doorstep to be exact.
Aria knocked on the door a few times and when nobody answered she realised what a bad idea she had had. But before she could leave, the devil himself opened the door.
âAnd what brings you here Montgomery?â Noel had called out arrogantly, to which she had embarrassingly looked down to.
âI need someone to talk toâ And right after he let her inside his house, she had told him the entire story, without missing any possible detail.
*** Aria had spent much more time in Noelâs than what sheâd expected to. Thatâs why she found herself walking in no direction whatsoever.
Was she supposed to go home? Was it ok to drop by Ezraâs?. These were only a fraction of the thoughts running inside her head.
Finally, she walked home.
Obviously, Aria found herself alone at home. Her parents were obviously busy with their own stuff and Mike was probably out with some friends doing god know what.
While heating up some food for her to eat, Aria thought about how busy she had been with all this â-Aâ stuff going on.
She was so overwhelmed with it all. The video, the bracelets and even the messages. Because lets face it, Aria didnât completely realise what was going on here.
But she was distracted with her phone buzzing with a text before Aria could even take out the pizza rolls from the microwave.
Ezra Fitz: What are you up to right now?
It was not something he did, texting her quite late during the night. But she answered nonetheless.
Aria: About to eat pizza rolls, why?
Ezra Fitz: Dress warm and meet me by the tree?
The tree was not something everyone knew about. In fact, nobody knew its beaning except for them. It had been impossible to keep up with the relationship if they had to see each other only when Aria was alone. So they invented the tree. Which was only the tree in the corner of Ariaâs street.
Aria was hoping that Ezra had given their conversation a thought, which is why she found herself getting dressed into other clothes other than her pjs. Although she didnât understand why he told her to dress warm, since it was pretty warm outside for a coat or something.
âHiâ She spoke awkwardly when she spotted him leaning against the tree.
Ezra smiled before sneaking up behind her to cover her eyes.
So he had thought about this.
âWhat are you doing?â Aria laughed, playing clueless. She wasnât dumb, she knew what was going on and she was thrilled.
âItâs a surpriseâ But he led her to his car anyways.
*** They werenât in Rosewood when Aria was allowed to get out of the car finally. But they werenât in Ravenswood either. She hadnât been to Brookhaven but what she was seeing didnât seem to match with her imagination.
This was a friendly little diner, and Brookhaven sounded creepy even in her own head.
All thoughts flew right outside the window when Ezra pulled out a chair for her to sit in.
âYou wanted a first date and I never really thought about that. I guess I thought this wasnât necessary for us. And for that, Iâm sorryâ Aria smiled in attempts of easing him a little and that seemed to work.
After they sat down and ordered, they were met with an awkward silence.
âSo⌠What have you been up to?â Ezra asked and she raised her eyebrows.
âSeriously? Come on, you can do better than thatâ Aria encouraged and he rolled his eyes. Before he could speak again, the waitress came back with their food.
Both of them played with their forks around instead of eating the food. And thatâs when Aria realised her first instincts were correct. She didnât need a first date.
âWhy are we doing this?â Aria asked at the same time Ezra spoke âThis is really awkwardâ
âLets just stick to coffee and casual exhibits for a while, yeah?â Aria laughed and finally, she felt at ease.
