Nothing made sense. How could one black out briefly one moment and the next woken up in a strange land? If it even was a land, of course. It didn’t look like any kingdom Arthur had even seen. Even the small town located a mile from the academy didn’t look as barren as this wasteland.
“Why? Isn’t he a fair trade? I mean, he’s much more useful than me.” Arthur winced, unable to hide his disappointment. “Return me then! What are you waiting for?” he demanded, stepping forward to get a closer look.
“I…oh.” He couldn’t help but stare. Was she some kind of undead zombie? Or something out of Merlin’s legends? “I didn’t know. I’m sorry. I thought you could..uh. Magic something up?"

Hel inhaled deeply, rolling her eyes as she listened to him... bargain away his friend? When no price had been asked? Her heart bled for poor Lancelot, if this is how his allies saw him. As something to be bartered for freedom. In the absence of peril! With friends like that..
"You would do well to calm yourself, Arthur." She said, voice firm but slow. "I am willing to help you but know that I could easily leave you for dead here. " She leaned in to add lowly, "And I know for a fact, even your body would not be found out here. So please, mind your tone."
Hel scoffed under her breath, "You say that as if it is so easy. Before I can return you, I must know how you came to be. Magic is not as simple as a hand wave and a whim. Sometimes - Often times it is studious, meticulous thought and calculation. Would you rather I throw you where I assume you are meant to be and simply hope you end up there? You..." She hesitated. Maybe it wasn't the best to disillusion him about who he was before, where he stood and how he might get back. But.. she did prefer informed consent in such matters.
"You're.. in a world so far from your own, the danger of blind return could leave you stranded in another."
