Since cultural appropriation seems to be such a hot topic... Considering that a lot of the elements we associate with modern magick (the tarot, circle casting, various correspondences) come from either Qabalah or Christian mysticism, wouldn't anyone who's not Jewish or a Golden Dawn initiate be guilty of cultural appropriation?

Avoiding cultural appropriation, to me, is a question of behaving respectfully to other human beings. Does casting a circle or using a table of esoteric correspondences threaten a Jewish person's religion, or does it dilute the meaning of things significant to them? Are there Thelemites objecting to the existence of Wiccans?
Generally, I would say no, BUT if a person comes to you objecting to something in your practice, it is important to take their criticism seriously. Spend some effort looking at yourself from their point of view. Usually that kind of criticism means you're doing (accidentally or not) something negative or harmful to them, and need to assess and make changes.
