Do you have chronic medical things? Do you also want a ritual practice? Me too. This is a collection of tips I put together originally for a presentation at Southern Maine Pagan Pride day in 2013 that people have found helpful. 

“What should I read first?” is such a common question for people new to Paganism. As a librarian, I think it’s also not an easy one - the books I suggest vary depending on someone’s focus, interests, the style of writing they prefer, and a lot more. However, I do have a general suggested reading list with some starting titles, and this is it. 

Did Christians steal holidays from Pagans? The short answer is no. The longer answer is still no, but a bit more complicated. This article has an overview of some different traditions, and how they shifted over time. 

There are some classic (modern) Pagan books out there, but are they the best books to start with? Maybe not. This article talks about what you might want to keep in mind while you read.
