I've had actual dreams about having a mostly green kitchen and that avocado fridge was the best estate sale item I have ever found. It was free. The light on the other hand is made from Italian hand casted glass and solid brass. Life is all about balance and I love that my kitchen reminds me of that somehow. Things don't need to cost a fortune to be beautiful, but at the same time things that are beyond well made should be valued and appreciated and it's okay to own and enjoy them. It is one of the prettiest things I have ever assembled and still can't believe it's what lights up the kitchen space. I decided to try to learn about wiring and installing a light (because hello life is meant to be lived. I think it's the ENFP in me) so I installed that beauty all by myself (obviously not that impressive but it felt incredibly huge to me). I barely got shocked, didn't blow any fuses, and so far it's still attached the the ceiling.
