nico rosberg and jenson button flirting for 7 minutes straight
highlights include nico fixing his hair and giggling:
- "do you know what nickname you gave me?" "I gave you my fiancé's name!" (jenson's wife's name is brittny, and Nico's britney nickname lore here)
"you need to be loved" "I do, yeah."
- sharing the story where jenson got shitfaced at a bar in japan in 2013, and that nico and jenson had their longest (hour long) conversation that jenson doesn't remember
also jenson: remembers nico's first win, his first podium, what tyres he had in detail
- they both chant WE ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS
- nico wanted to do his extreme e team with jenson
- nico says he's gonna quarantine on a boat with jenson which is the most bougie thing I've ever heard
do still recommend the pod, this doesn't cover a lot of other bits like where jenson compares fernando and lewis as teammates or fernando's mind games, or brawn so if you're interested
The Wheel of Time has been trending here lately and maybe you’ve not watched it but are considering starting it. Some tips for you from me, a book reader and show lover.
Season one is a little rough. Power through. It feels kind of self conscious as it tries to set up what is a very big world. Also they get hella fucked by covid shut downs and then protocols for the last two episodes. I wrote about what, how, and why that happened here. (edited to add: I liked season one, but I’ve seen a number of people complain it felt too slow and they got bored and gave up.)
Season two is much more confident. A much better season. The characters really start to develop and come into their own. The world grows. Yes there are a lot of characters - roll with it. Focus on Rand, Mat, Perrin, Egwene, Nynaeve, Elayne, Min, Lan, and Moiraine. The rest may come and go, you’ll pick them up over time. Don’t let it overwhelm you yet.
Season three, so far, is like they went “fuck it!” and hit the gas. We’re going big and grand. The characters know who they are (well, maybe not Rand, but that’s kind of his thing for a bit), the story knows where it’s going. It starts out slightly claustrophobic (for character reasons) in Tar Valon, but then it goes vast and beautiful. Really, ep 4 was phenomenal. People who say it may be the best hour of fantasy tv ever are not exaggerating. Moving, sad, huge, tight story, and lovely.
The show might not follow the books exactly, but that’s a good thing to me. The books have some issues. Some. Many, maybe. I’ve read them since they started, so I do love Jordan’s world, but I can admit the flaws. The show hits the right beats from the books, while giving room for exploration of different aspects of the world or characters, that maybe didn’t get the time they needed in the books. With this show I get so much more the feeling that this isn’t just a bog-standard fantasy world, this is a post-apocalyptic world that, 3,000 years later, is still struggling to recover and understand what happened, and over everything is the pervasive terror that it will all happen again.
Then aside from story, the show is truly beautiful . The cinematography is stunning. The world building vfx are grand- the reveal of the bore is terrible and breathtaking. Also, you will not find a better show for costuming - the fabrics, the textures, and how each country/culture has a distinct and “real” look. Look, it’s just a gorgeous, gorgeous show.
Give the show a chance. If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer anything and talk about it all.
Do you have a fave hockey movie? (Or just any hockey movie that you like lol I know it's slim pickings)
As it happens, I spent the offseason before this one going through hockey and hockey-related movies!! I didn't end up getting through everything i was looking at but. yes. i have a favourite. it's called Breaking the Ice <3
It's an Austrian movie directed by Clara Stern, if googling around you'll want to throw in her name or (2022) because theres a 2024 tv series going by the same name. the packaging is women playing hockey but it's also about being gay and a bit genderfucked and having a complicated relationship with your family and also being women playing hockey. the entire thing is available on yt with subtitles!!!! albeit just english and in 720p <- PIRACY IS THE ONLY OPTION ASIDE FROM BUYING A DVD. AFAIK IT IS NOT LISTED ANYWHERE LEGAL TO STREAM. if it's in your power, please bother your local film festival, club, or library to acquire/screen copies of this film. <3
i'll embed the trailer here since it's not age restricted.
i watched this film through a lot of notcrying and many throat lumps, mostly on account of being gay and genderfucked and into hockey myself. so you see it was hitting all my buttons at once with hammers (positive) and i haven't been able to rewatch it since so the memory is hazy, but i think it was the best out of all the films i got through that offseason. the cutting edge (1992) comes second as a fun palate cleanser <3
i did peep a couple of reviews and have a giggle because they noted how much hockey footage there was and ill be real that was the best shit ever for me and it wasn't conspicuous at all!!
the multiple plot threads and the themes and the hockey shots in excess are all connected you see... sometimes things in movies are there for vibes and the vibes are essential to setting up the everything else... they truly just dont get it smh... ALSOOO plot and character relevant jockrituals happen on the ice, such as crushing each other against the boards and breathing heavily face to face knowing the only things keeping you from eating each other alive with tongue in front of the coach and all your teammates are your bucket cages. you agree.

Infinity train is one of the best shows I have ever seen and I will never stop talking about that,
Not a single season is bad, each far surpasses my expectations and it ENRAGES me the way everything went down with it
I have re watched the show I think at this point maybe over 10 times, because it just means so much to me
I remember I saw Season/Book 2 at a time when I was really struggling with my identity as a trans-masc nonbinary person. Lake really resonated so deeply with me, and to this day the scene where they are begging to be seen as a person makes me cry
Honestly i fully believe everyone should watch it at least once
It's hard to find as it is no longer on any streaming services but it is worth it
I don't think there is any show that I recommend more than Infinity train
Once I get done with my backlog of art I want to make, I'm going to make some fanart of the characters
relaxing speedpaint of suguru geto, sorry for the unskippable ads
lemme know if u guys want more vi deos 🤩
