a question for my (admittedly few) followers, and anyone peeking through the tags:
I'm writing something on Lucy. I want to talk about the burden (the choice) of being Lucy, of being brave and beautiful and heroic. I've always identified more with Susan—the second choice, the outcast—but I want to dive in to what makes Lucy make the choices she does.
So tell me.
What do you think are Lucy's greatest burdens, her most proud triumphs? Do you see her role—unquestionable a heroine, if not the heroine—as inevitable, as enviable, as burdensome? Why is she the closest to Aslan? What do you make of her gift? What is hard for her; what comes easy?
(reply, chat me, reblog. let's talk. otherwise, i'll chug ahead on my own instinct and we'll see what comes of it).
