Now that i have your attention,

I love you very much, and i have been thinking a lot about a way to express this. Thing is, i am not too great at this, since most of the time, i just use your words to explain my feelings to myself and others. You truly get me in ways that i don't even get myself, and over the past 11 years you have become such a big part of my life that my heart is kind of overflowing with gratefulness to you.

So what i'm thinking is, i want to get some of your words tattooed onto my skin, so i can carry a bit of you with my forever in a hopefully not too creepy way. To be honest i already have a tattoo related to you but it's just the number 22 and now that i am 23, it doesn't seem like as big a tribute to you anymore. (Not that it doesn't still cheer me up every time i look at it. Everything will be alright if you keep me next to you and all that!)

Anyway, i was thinking about which ones of your words i would like to have stabbed into my skin with tiny needles, and at first i just specifically wanted "girls & girls" (because i am a very proud gay and that line specifically means the whole entire world to me) and i almost did it, but i started thinking about the font i wanted and i realized how cool it would be if it was... in your handwriting. But then my thoughts spiraled and i thought if i was gonna bring up the nerve to ask you for this, i could ask you for anything. Endless possibilities of words, so many lyrics and quotes to choose from. And honestly i would get a grilled cheese sandwich tattooed on my face if you asked me to, and i am lactose intolerant!!

So basically, my favorite songs of yours, lyric-wise are treacherous, long live, new romantics and state of grace, and also that specific verse in welcome to new york.

And i was wondering if maybe, if by the very off chance you would ever read this post, you could write down (some of) your own favorite line(s) or words from (one of) these songs and maybe send it to me (or send a picture of it since i live in a netherland far far away in europe), so that I could choose one to carry with me forever?
