and I know this is a little stupid, but I want you to bear with me, as I hold you by your shoulders and tell you it's important to be. If we were not, and did not understand ourselves to be just a little bit nonsensical, I don't think we could keep being here. So I ask you, as I hold you, to run to it, to know we are here to be so incomprehensible, and so deranged that we, for moments, struggle to catch ourselves.
Like laughter out of breath, keeling over into ourselves and each other. Like we were running down hills, knowing and hoping that we could spiral into a tumble at any moment, and still running as fast as we could, to feel each foot digging past the grass into the dirt. Because when we have fallen to the ground, there's still a sky above to see, and we can look to it together, knowing we created another stupid little thought to cling to.
