Miraculous rewritten rp; Scarlet Spot (Ladybug), Part one
“Welcome, Welcome!” Hecates aunt Carol called with what Hecate could only assume slight French accent from the lip reading. She wasn’t born with one, but living in France for what- ten years now- may have made her develop one.
“Carol!” Their mom called, pulling her sister in for a hug. “I’m so glad you let us stay here on such short notice.” Hecate looked around awkwardly. Paris was so much different than America.
“Of course honey!” Carol smiled. “I know things have gotten hard after your divorce, but good riddens am I right?” She playfully nudged her sister before leading them all into the building they would now be living in.
The bottom floor was the Astronomers Bakery, the business their aunt had started. “Wowie!!” Their eleven year old brother Kam ran around in wonder. Or, attempted too, before Daxter, their older brother, stopped him.
“I assume we’ll be living upstairs?” He asked, his other hand holding his boyfriend Bens hand. Carol nodded gleefully, proceeding to explain where everyone’s room was.
Hecate silently went to their room in the attic to unpack. They weren’t given that room out of malice, but because they petered privacy. It wasn’t cramped, Acually, it was bigger than their old room.
Letting out a sigh, they decided to start the process of unpacking and decorating.
‘Can’t you just home school me again?’ They signed to their mother desperately. They didn’t want to go to public school! That’s where the PEOPLE were!
“Hecate Rani Grelitia, you are going to school!” Julia said, moving her lips slowly so Hecate can read them. “Sweetie, I love you so much, but you need social interaction! Plus, how can you go to that fashion academy without a high school diploma?”
Hecates head sunk, knowing their mom had a point. Ben put a hand on their shoulder and they turned to face him. “It won’t be so bad. Carol has already told them about your deafness. Until we can buy you hearing aids, and probably after still, there will be an interpreter and every video will have subtitles.”
Hecate nodded along, still feeling anxious. How could they not? There were so many thing that could go wrong. What if the bullying was even worse this time around?
They only hoped they could be proven wrong.
