My take on the Caleb situation
Okay so as we know Infold is under a bit of fire and some fans are deleting Love and Deepspace because of the "incest" trope which is really just pseudocest because Caleb and MC aren't related. They were two kids who got adopted by Josephine . Why do people thinking posting long ass paragraphs about how this pseudocest triggers them and trying to look all morally superior by deleting the game is helping them? If it triggers them then delete it, I do not see why you need to loudly announce it unless you had an online presence where the game was a huge part of what you portrayed?? This is not to invalidate anyone, I understand if it triggers you and I respect that but I do not understand actively engaging with something that triggers you.
And apart from that people need to understand English is a VERY simple language. Like the homonyms, synonyms, whatever aside English is simple, languages like Manadarin, Arabic, German, basically any other language in the world — they have words that do not have direct English translations. You can only explain those words, 'gege' and 'meimei' are two such words. They do not have direct translations and they do not symbolise necessary blood relations.
As for the recent card having the line "You are my sister in blood" which points to direct incest, I would say it's on Infold to not make it clear enough from the beginning. Even I used to think Caleb and MC are siblings until I found out they were not related. And I don't see this outrage in donguahs or whatever when Hua Cheng calls Xie Lian "gege."
