I apologize to all my followers who ended up with the Eddsworld disccourse on their dash because of me. I just really had to get my sadness and dissapointment out to the people who follow me for EW in hopes that at least one of them would understand just how badly this is affecting the fandom.

Ive said this a dozen times and I’ll say it again. Ive been in this fandom for thirteen years. It is inarguably my first fandom and my favorite cartoon. My favorite fandom? Not so much. It happened before with Tord, and though I know for a fact that the fans from the pre-legacy have mostly (mostly) understood the issue and disassociate the characters from the real life counterparts.

I was so happy to see the amount of fans that appeared but soon after I was scared of it. Many of the fans just didnt understand or care to understand the disassociation that this fandom needs. Once I told someone on youtube who commented “Tord Larsson” on a certain video that they shouldnt be using the real names (“Please don’t use the real life counter part’s name in respect to the creator’s wishes. They arent the same person.) They replied "No.” Blunt, and yet so frustrating.

What’s so hard about not using their last names, huh? Is there some sort of rule rhat characters need a last name? Have you considered using a modified version at least?!

What is compelling you to scream and chuck your wants at the creator’s as though youre entitled to anything from them? Is it because “Im a big fan!”? Get in line. It’s a fandom. We’re all fans. You couldve donated and if you did that’s great. You got your reward. That is the end of it.

What makes you think the creators want you to send them pictures of them kissing their friends who are in healthy relationships? Was it some kind of joke to you? Did you want them to break up and divorce their lovers just so you could squeal over your ship being “real”?

What the fuck is driving you to ruin this amazing show that you only joined, what, a year ago?

So many of you don’t understand just what youre doing and frankly many of you dont care enough to. You’d blame the victim just to ease your shoulders. You are the toxic side of the fandom.

Just stop. Why is it so hard? Are you doing this on purpose? Are you trying to destroy this world Edd built for some fucked up reason? Edd is my hero. He inspires me to draw and I love his world more than any fandom. You might not understand how painful it is to just watch this happen again and again but maybe for the rest of us you could stop. Just…. stop.

I’m not telling you to stop shipping. Im not telling you to stop drawing. Im asking you to please, just please leave the creators, from now and all that have left, alone. You’re driving them out of the world they’re keeping spinning for your viewing pleasure. You’re hurting the fandom You’re being toxic.

That line on the ground, the one that separates Edd’s World from ours? Please never ever try to break it again. Stop bringing things from one world to the other. Leave it alone.
