Creating new playscenez
I've been meaning to do this for a while, and especially since Glenn decided to do some neat ones. I thought I'd start with Skyrim! This is a run-through how to make scenez to stir up nostalgia. I'll have better pictures and more scenez to come.
The first issue I ran into (and there are oh so many graphics issues on Petz 5 in Windows 7, haha) is that the background didn't want to do anything except stretch or tile, which has ugly grey bars and cuts off a chunk of the scenery respectively. Petz 5 is far too square.
The create a playscene feature lets you set the horizon line, and then you can add ledges as you please. I set the horizon along the underwater ridge so that I could have some ledges.
And then there's a host of other little features: step animation, digging holes, growing plants, mouse holes, step noise, random noise loops. I didn't do much of that, but I may in the future.
It's definitely satisfactory to me!
