Genji had given up on the idea of his lunch breaks ever looking like anything relatively normal since his arrival in Overwatch. He could only eat on his own, and when he was with someone else, it could only be with one of the two only people he could show his face to: either Angela, who was too busy to stay with him for too long, or Zenyatta, who couldn’t partake in the meal.
Even if the ritual was of no use to the Omnic, Genji still liked to invite his Master to join him while he ate. It was always an opportunity for them to converse on various topics, catch up on the time they spent appart, debate one another, laugh together... It was always a pleasant moment. As was any moment he spent with Zenyatta by his side, really.
Today, however, after Genji was halfway done with the content of his plate, he noticed something was off. The monk was being strangely silent. Perhaps he was deep in reflection? But then again, Zenyatta was more often than not one to always speak his mind, and share his thoughts with his student. Could it be there was something troubling him?
"Are you not feeling well, Master? You’re usually much more talkative than that.”
