Step 2 - Define the known region. I put the #pocketlands cards picked for Worivat back out on the table and planned to expand the known starting area. There are mountains to the NE, so it made sense that the monk could have taken a hike to see a few cards away. Without specifying the scale of each square, I arbitrarily chose to go two cards out in all directions. I found out about a product called The Everdeck by @suwilhelm that serves as a multi-multi-purpose generator of ideas while still functioning as playing cards when desired. There are so many patterns baked into this. I spent time just reorganizing this deck by color, number, suite, animal, letter, and dots to see how The Everdeck is structured. Pulling a handful of cards to make a name from the letters has great potential, but I have to come up a way to choose a number of syllables that feels right to me. I can also see pulling all the animals possible in a certain terrain to build an ecosystem to explore.
