woo!!! another update!!! sorry for not having one yesterday, i didn't really have anything to share. most of the process for making this thing is spending like six hours looking up how to do a thing, asking around, crying, and then it suddenly working for some reason and yesterday was mainly that. so uh, didn't really have anything. i was mainly working towards getting a variant of this model compatible with parcool and better combat and if the video above loads properly, it worked!!! i had to rework a good bit of the parts, such as removing all animation on the arms because otherwise all the swing animations wouldn't play. but honestly? totally worth it. like this fucking rules. especially with all the parcool stuff. parcool adds a lot of parkour abilities like backflips, lunges, slides, wallrunning and more. this video only has some of that stuff but *most* of those other things work pretty ok from what i can tell. i also added a camera for some over-the-shoulder combat because i mean. it rules.

so uh. yeah. mainly the combat thing. i also revamped a good deal of the core anims to work a bit more smoothly, like the running, jumping, walking, and idle poses. here's a handful of those below:

very happy with how these came out. adding extra details like rotating the body to match the arms was such a good choice, it adds so much more life to her. as of right now im fairly sure the combat model is finished, except for extra details which are going to be forked over from the main model. the main is also fairly finished. pretty much all the core stuff is good, there's just like a thousand smaller specific animations like swimming, flying, climbing, holding specific items like spyglasses, crossbows, and tridents, etc. which is just going to take fucking FOREVER!!! at least it doesnt need as much research because once i figure it out once its almost all just actually putting poses together. so its still going to be a while until i finish the model for release (?) i reaaaally want to sell this model but im a minor so its a bit more difficult than id like. if you'd like to get your hands on it when it's finished feel free to pm me and follow for more updates. from here updates are probably going to be slower and less big but theyre going to just add soooooo much more polish to this whole thing. still worried abt what im gonna start doing once this model's finished, because shes so much fun!!! i do have stuff i want to move on, i want to make some suuuuper detailed models with custom-built eyes, arms, etc. id add that to loona but i like her vanilla-esque artstyle, it still keeps within the bounds of realism for mc i think but god its going to be rad to make some stuff that just goes WEIRD. i saw a model recently with folding wings and like. god. i need to make something like that. it would fucking rule.
