Like all other young birds, a baby gryphlet is covered in dull fluff which provides only a slight hint about the future plumage colors until the baby fledges.

Not the most popular of all Beasts, Cockatrices still have their fans. These ornithoreptilias are surprisingly smart and can use their glands to produce and accumulate venom and acid not only to attack or defend but also for scientific, medical and engineering purposes. Though "terror chickens" have wings, they can't fly. However, they are good at jumping and gliding, so the only obstacle that can stop them is a vast body of water.

Unicorns are born fully formed including a functional horn. They can run in a few hours after the birth.

No matter how colorful an adult Symurgh is, babies always have dull feathers. While a mature Beast has no natural enemies and can manifest all colors of an iridescent rainbow, the pups are still vulnerable to numerous dangers and need protective coloration.

Gryphons are one of the most desired and certainly the most paradoxical Beasts. It's a common belief that they were created by Demigods through fusing large feline and avian species. However, the behavior of Gryphons doesn't resemble that of a cat: loyalty and courage aren't common qualities for a solitary silent predator. Some speculate that the mammalian half actually belongs to a canine. Unfortunately, the proprietary anatomy of these chimeras doesn't allow to make a sure guess.

Europa unicorns aren't those tender magical spirits from fairy tales. Though graceful for their size, they are war horses capable of wearing a full armor and carrying an armored rider at the same moment. An interesting fact: their single horn is actually two twisted together into one.

The Rocs are the biggest creatures that a Beastlord can have in their manor. Resembling giant hawks, they use their feathers, spikes and beak to accumulate electricity and release it in a deadly discharge. This ability also makes them excellent fishers - imagine an electric rod the size of a small house!
