This whole plate debacle has me remembering the time my friend in college got the tiniest piece of broken plate stuck in her foot. A plate broke in the dining hall while we were bringing our dishes over to be washed and my friend was wearing sandals at the time. She got a very small piece stuck in her foot, and the dining hall manager would not let her leave nor let her pull it out. It was literally in the tip of her toe or something. They ended up putting her in a wheelchair and taking her to the hospital. Then she got put in a random hallway in the hospital because they didn’t have any rooms available and they just forgot about her for hours. She was taken there during lunch hour, mind you. It was a few hours later that my friends and I returned to the dining hall and we were like, hey, where the fuck did she go? Meanwhile, she is still at the goddamn hospital. They finally tweeze the little bit of porcelain out of her foot, but she doesn’t have her wallet on her and she has to take a fucking cab back to campus, run up to her dorm, and then run back down to pay the guy. She finally gets back to us and we were like “oh my god, we thought you died </3” and I don’t think she was very amused by this at all.
