By the way Lestat making a song against the billionaires of America while Louis is one of the richest men in the world has the same vibe as Louis putting "Colored only" on his club and having Lestat as a partner

Plastic Fiends out now!
nobody talking about plastic fiends or cabbage
such good songs!!!!!!!! stuck in my head all the time!!
Amc+ should consider pushing for awards "The Loneliness" and "Stained Glass Eyes".
Personally i also love very much "Plastic Fiends" and "When i call out your name" but i feel the other two would have more chances to win.

ONE OF MY FAVS SO FAR!!! Can you please decipher lyrics 🥺 I'm not native English speaker, understanding songs always been a problem to me
It's one of my favourites too, anon!! It's so Elton John in sound and style, I'm highkey obsessed!
I'm not sure how much help I'm going to be on the details given I'm not American either, haha, but the Babe Ruth line I'm guessing is saying America's 'knocked it out of the park', which is just him saying how the current climate in the States is a perfect one for vampires/monsters.
The song broadly though feels very much to me about how the US right now feels like pre-Revolution France, which is actually what I was saying yesterday about my interpretation of the episode's themes of liberation vs law and order/institutions yesterday. The rich are getting richer and the exploited underclasses angrier and angrier, and in that second verse, it's the latter Lestat's singing to. The eatin' all your pets and your wives line I'm actually not a hundred percent sure on, but I'm guessing it's a jab at how the conservative media and far right politicians spread racist talking points to further division among the general public as they did through the Springfield pet-eating hoax. In that sense, I think Lestat's saying nothing's going to change (there's no such thing as a meteor) so long as the people are fighting with each other instead of those in power.
I'd be interested to hear other interpretations though!
(Also it furthers my thought that they're going to play Akasha as a Napoleonic figure in QOTD! Revolution followed by authoritarianism!)

Looking at the lyrics for Plastic Fiends and...friends...who tf is Harvey Leroy?
the beginning of Plastic Fiends sounds like the Peanuts
Plastic Fiends
Congratulations, 'm-m-merica
You really babe ruthed' it this time
Oh, straight up vampin' is so easy now
I can't tell if anythin' is even a crime anymore
(Unless you're poor)
Congratulations to roofie and murders
To musk man and old vlad too
Oh, harvey leroy must be thrustin' in his grave
A hard-on the size of a hot air buffoon, oh
It all reminds me of somethin'
Mm, maybe Louis xvi
Was it antionette or friedrich flick who said
Fuck right or wrong, when the cake is so sweet
Oh-oh
Come on now, you filthy little plastic fiends
You look like saran wrap
And you smell like fabreeze
I'm feelin' sick from your chick-o-stick
And your blood is a disease, oh-oh
Come on now, you filthy little plastic fiends
Yeah
I see you, my pretty little death-cold cucks
Sayin' how we wanna burn it all down
Well, if you got the cash, I got the fuckin' gas
Could always tend to lose another 2, 000 pounds
I see you, my pretty little dinosaurs
Livin' your disposable lives
Oh, there's no such thing as a meteor
When they keep eatin' all your pets and your wives, oh
This all reminds me of somethin'
Ooh, it's called a plymouth rock
Blankets and beads, insatiable greeds
Is anyone surprised it's nearly we're-fucked-o-clock
Oh-oh
Come on now, you filthy little plastic fiends
You look like saran wrap
And you smell like fabreeze
I'm feelin' sick from your chick-o-stick
And your blood is a disease, oh-oh
Come on now, you filthy little plastic fiends
Oh, you look like saran wrap
And you smell like fabreeze
(Oh), I'm feelin' sick from your chick-o-stick
And your blood is a disease, oh-oh
Come on now, you filthy little plastic fiends
Oh, come on now, you filthy little plastic fiends-ah
(Woo)
