How the DmC guys hold/carry Riley Pierce:

White Rabbit

• He secretly loves this domestic shit and Riley’s the same way. She loves the closeness of it, this is how he carries her to bed any day. Hearing the steady beating of his heart, is effective enough for her to be lulled to sleep. • If they’re outside and she’s fallen asleep in his arms, Rabbit will always tuck her limbs closer to him, support her head and keep anything from brushing up against her. Her safety is his only priority.

Plasma

• If Riley’s too tired, or twists her ankle and is unable to walk (which is rare), Plasma will carry her bridal style with little to no hesitation or complaint. • She’ll have something to complain about it however, claiming she doesn’t need help and that she could walk on her own. Nah…Plasma couldn’t let her do that and plus, he’d get an ass chewing from Rabbit if he doesn’t.

Rudra

• WILL undoubtedly carry Riley like a damn gym bag or under his arm like a football. It’s not because he doesn’t care, he does, but they don’t have the same relationship as Riley shares with Plasma and Rabbit. Does Riley care? Not at all. She thinks it’s funny. In fact, it’s not even hurting her. Just as long as they don’t hold her like a kitten, or by the leg. That just falls under Riley’s list in “A million ways to die”.

Speaking of which….

Agni

• If Rabbit isn’t there to stop him, he’ll DEFINITELY mishandle her and will carry her by the scruff of her jacket, similarly to a kitten. Riley fucking hates this and will retort as much by kicking and punching wildly at his face. Could she reach? No. When you’re 4’7 like Riley, you’re cursed with short limbs. That’s probably why Agni does it because she’s not able to cut him and he gets a kick outta her flailing angrily from his hold. Douchebag. • Is he personally doing this to be downright cruel? Not exactly, that’s just how he is. Agni’s always been the demon that has to learn the hard way. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes! It only takes a second for him to lower his guard…! And when he does, it won’t be a couple fingers he’s losing either.

Dante

“Strawberry sundaes, Ahoy!”

• Riley will pretend to be dramatic about not being able to walk, just so that Dante can give her a piggyback ride. Not that Dante minds, he’ll tease her about being a lazy-ass but carries her nonetheless. • Riley likes the closeness and the vulnerability that concludes with this hold. It feels strange that she’s on somebody’s back instead of the other way around with her and Arlo. Due to her height and being so light, Dante can comfortably carry her without straining his back. • Dante loves it. He loves being silly and fun around Riley and she’s the same way. He likes it when Riley nuzzles against his neck, just as long as she doesn’t kick his sides to go faster. (Not that she will, just using an example). He’d be dropping her on her ass like a sack of potatoes, that’s a no-no. 😠
