i just had an idea thought, of a story where the mc was cursed to be like- attached to a doll, they can make a life sized physical self, but looking like the doll they are attached to, thing is, mc is a doll customizer and they just have to be attached to a doll to manifest themself, they are basically a shape shifter but with conditions attached, and have to have the doll near them to be able to do the things. their objective is to find all the pictures and videos of themself before the curse to make a doll that looks just like how they used to so mc can finally have access to their bank accounts and documents and talk to friends and family in person and them finally recognising them.
problem 1: to do the customizing mc needs materials; mc does not have access to bank acc because they have a phone app bank and its tied to the digits they no longer have and the other security measure was face recognition to a face they dont have anymore
2: to make an accurate face they need pictures and videos and such of themself. no one who knew them can tell its mc because its a stranger's face and its weird to share pics of a friend to a stranger who somehow knows you have those pictures of that friend, and ofc mc's profiles are private and touch screen doesnt work with doll fingers and their computer broke before the curse, its why they got in the way to be cursed- going to the store to fix it-
3: the one who cursed mc is searching for them, luckily they have many dolls to switch. unluckily the bitch knows where mc roams for doll materials, so new stores and materials will have to grab
4: mc's time off work is running out, they have a month to either fix the curse (not really something they want that much) or finish the doll that looks like them pre curse (main objective) before being called back to work and/or getting fired
