The Seven Great Youma.
The deadliest warriors in service of the Dark Kingdom, personally crafted by Queen Metalia herself from the remains of ancient human beings who were forerunners in their respective fields of expertise. Their souls having long since departed, leaving only their negative emotions and fragmented memories behind.
On their own, each is capable of demolishing and leveling cities. Entire regiments of troops left slaughtered in their wake, all for the glory of their grim queen. Using human like disguises, they’ve infiltrated society and work to dismantle it from the inside. Damaging supply chains, accumulating resources for the Dark Kingdom, and sowing the seeds of chaos for an inevitable invasion.
It is said that should they combine their might, their bodies, and their minds- an Ultimate Youma of unparalleled might shal be born. An invincible scourge upon the world, tearing all asunder.
Gamecen - The Technorganic
Born from the remains of a brilliant artificer from ancient times, Gamecen is a perfect fusion of organic and machine. Pure electrical magic courses through their veins, empowering the built-in gadgets within their body. It has the ability to siphon mana from humans and a natural immunity to electric magic. All electric-type magic is absorbed and boosts its strength.
An energy-powered blade, an extending claw for an arm, tesla coils and a helmet capable of scanning its foes weaknesses through mana. Gamecen masquerades as a traveling magician, displaying its galvanizing abilities and infiltrating guilds to slaughter up and coming magic-users.
Boxy - The Duelist
An avian-like, humanoid beast. Boxy was reanimated from the remains of an ancient warrior famous for his hand to hand combat. Said to be the progenitor of boxing among mortal kind.
What Boxy lacks in traditional magic, it makes up for in spades with unbelievable defenses, speed, and precision. Warriors, knights, and paladins alike fall to its blitzing punches. It’s a threat on the ground and in the air, capable of closing great distances in mere seconds. Those who can keep up with its incredibly reflexes will swiftly find themselves overwhelmed and inevitably succumb to exhaustion…
Boxy disguises itself as a priest in an offshoot of the Lunarian church, keeping watch on the church’s proceedings and their operations. Committing subterfuge and extracting information from high ranking church members before falsifying their deaths under mysterious circumstances.
Bunbo - The Morpher
The most flexible and adaptable of the Seven Great Youma, Bunbo was created from the remains of an old paladin capable of wielding nearly every variety of weapon from swords to axes to firearms and pole arms. This knowledge and adaptability have transferred to the monstrosity. Deceptively intelligent, Bunbo’s arms are veritable Swiss Army knives capable of swapping between an endless assortment of tools at a moment’s notice. It switches between combat styles and stances in response to its opponents as fluidly as the flow of water.
This cunning fighter has few exploitable weaknesses and automatically learns from its experiences, evolving through duels or massacres.
Originally disguised as a scientist in the House in the Mercury, it was assigned to keep an eye on up and coming scholar, Ami. If she could be turned, she would prove a great asset to the Dark Kingdom’s forces. If not, she would be terminated. Unfortunately, Ami has left and its mission failed. Leaving it to vanish and continue its unholy mission elsewhere.
Veena - The Artisan
Known as the Angelic Catastrophe, Veena was created from the desecrated bones of an ancient artist with a rare form of reality warping magic via paint and ink. While her living predecessor utilized it for expression and social commentary, her remains’ incarnation uses it for creative means of destruction, devastation, and death.
Her fingers secrete ink and her wings generate feathers. When combined in conjunction to her own will, they will sketch and construct drawings that will become real once finished. Their swiftness and silence enable it to take foes by surprise. It can mimic the runes and symbols of complex spells, unleashing them onto battalions and cities to sow chaos wherever it deems fit.
Her canvases are encased in blood, viscera, and fragments of bone. Veena’s civilian identity is that of a wandering, freelance painter. Her works have generated notoriety for their graphic, but incredible detail exploring the facets of human nature. She weaponizes her charms to execute foolish adventurers and guild members, thinning their numbers and culling those with potential to be used for Youma creation.
Rikoukeidar - The Alchemist
By far the most brilliant of the Seven Great Youma, Rikoukeidar is the revived remnants of an ancient alchemist thought to have been responsible for the creation of the theorized philosopher’s stone. Perceiving it as an affront to the gods, the Lunarian church executed them and destroyed their research. Ensuring no one but the divine would encroach on such knowledge.
Their genius is matched by a twisted, corrupted apathy that sees humans as lesser, inferior beings to be fodder for her painful experimentation that sees subjects begging for a swift end. Her elixirs not only magnify the strength of Youma, but can melt flesh, cause chain reaction explosions, drain the very mana from someone’s spirit, and directly convert organic matter into the very dust that comprise Youma.
She seeks to push her species evolution to its limit, building magical tools and machinery superior to that of dedicated engineers and artificers to aid in this quest. She prostrates herself as a human artificer seeking to push society towards the next step… by secretly killing and stealing the work of brilliant minds for her own purposes.
Jiji - The Hell Priest
Men of the cloth are as flawed as any other man. Subject to vices, to sin… fewer still allow themselves to be consumed by inner darkness and sell their souls to the powers that be. The remains Jiji would be created from was such a man. The original Hell Priest who sacrificed all that was dear to him for power… only to pay it back in eternal damnation upon death.
Reflective of this, Jiji is beastly and instinctive. Lashing out at everything and everyone in its path when left unchecked. It is capable of unleashing powerful blasts of wind and heat from its gullet, scorching all those in its path. It possesses the ability to utilize rare hellfire magic that can’t be extinguished via normal means. Commanding the powers of hell itself, it can use blood in rituals to boost its own or its followers strength tenfold.
It is said those murdered by Jiji or its followers never reach heaven and are doomed to eternal damnation in the sixth circle of hell.
In its human form, Jiji infiltrated villages as a wandering clergyman who infiltrates villages, converts a select group into its followers before razing and killing the rest as heretics to the cult of Metalia.
Bakene - The Hunter
Revived from the skeletal remains of the hallowed "King of 666 Beasts", Bakene is the ultimate land predator. Capable of extreme speed, lightning fast reflexes, a picture-perfect memory, and heightened senses. Bakene has little in the way of of personality, though animalistic in demeanor, it’s critical thinking skill is immaculate.
It’s hunts down all targets with ruthless efficiency, studying their patterns and habits, noting their weaknesses and potential strengths. Its claws can disembowel draconian monsters and humans like scissors through paper. You shall never know if you’re in its sights until it’s far too late.
Many have tried taming or defeating this beast… and all have failed. Bakene disguises itself an unassuming turquoise tabby living in the streets of cities. It is often adopted by unassuming families or orphanages… garnering their trust until it transforms and devours all inside, leaving nary a corpse or bones…
