We are proud to announce the special release of Dr. Martens x Engineered Garments collaboration at our Nepenthes New York location starting January 25th, 2017. The shoe encompasses 3 separate designs in one; plain toe, ghillie, and Dr. Martens style 1460. The collection is made in England.

A word from our Director, Daiki Suzuki:

“Plain toe and Ghillie shoes were the first Dr. Martens I ever saw and sold at a store I worked in Shibuya around 1980. Soon after I started to see Dr. Martens’ typical 8 hole and 10 hole iconic boots and I really liked their boot pull tab and yellow welt stitches. I wanted to take what Dr. Martens meant to me, my personal view and put it all together in one shoe. The asymmetry of the Ghillie eyelet tab and plain quarter was ideal to get the effect of Plain toe on one side and Ghillie on the other. This detail comes from the typical EG aesthetic, its very much a troupe-loeil effect that I always love. Black and White calf skin are my image of Dr. Martens and I added basic EG color’s Navy, Olive and Beige suede. The EG color ways are a highlight of the military theme I use for the collection on a regular basis.”
