^ Mel! Short for Melanie, but she hates Melanie so she goes by Mel. Currently she's 24 (until next month) and she teaches game design at one of the high schools in her city. She has no connection to essentially anything that goes on in RE canon; in other words, she's just a civilian! She lives a pretty quiet and boring life since her job keeps her busy, but she hangs out at a local bar after she gets out of school so she can grade and stuff (since cafes close at like four these days...) so that she can have the weekends to relax.

In reference to Leon ☝️they meet at aforementioned bar (🫪) and it turns into a slow burn from there since he tends to get dragged all over for work...and he's got that thing with Ada...but I do think that Mel, given that she's just a random person, is so shockingly normal/genuine that she very quickly charms him :)

Okay so Hubert is an obvious Unicorn because of his proclivity for dark magic, and although I think Faerghus is full of Earth Ponies bc they’re all knights (spoilers but this is why I put Marcelle and Sylvain in Earth Pony), Felix has a hidden talent in magic AND I think I heard somewhere that Felix’s dad is really good at magic bc the king he served was dogshit at it. But I don’t think he’d use his magic unless he was told to since he and sword are like this: 🤞

Gundham I want to have a little bit on uniqueness to him, so I put him in Pegasus, but I 1000% think he is wearing a fake horn to appear as an Alicorn. Our beloved Simon gets Pegasus because of his love for birds :) and so does Ferdinand because I think Pegasi are very whimsical and I can’t stop thinking about his voice line where he’s at Choir Practice and he’s like, “Professor! Let me sing for you! Do you not like my voice? It would make a pegasus dance with joy!” (he is not good at singing </3 ). Also, out of everyone on this list, I think he is the top contender to actually make a Ponysona :))

We already talked about why Sylvain is in Earth Pony; Piers and Corbeau are here for reasons similar to why they were defense attorneys in that they’re down-to-earth men of the people. Cyrus is here because I didn’t think he fit any of the other categories, but I thought really hard about putting him in Unicorn because I associate Unicorns with technology, for some reason?

AS FOR MY S/Is… Marcelle could be a Unicorn, esp since she has a Crest that is the result of a science experiment, but idk I do like Earth Pony better for her still just given the way that he is in that he’s like “yeah I’d probably be really good at magic [true] but that’s a waste of my physical strength so ig I’m doing axe.” You could make a similar argument with Maxine because he’s alsooooo a victim of science experiments, but I think it’d be truer to his character to remain an Earth Pony in a room full of Pegasi or Unicorns. Honestly, given that post-sim he wears vampire fangs for the hell of it, I would dare to say that he might make himself look more like a Changeling since he feels so alienated 🧐
