ik most ppl don't hc much between rocket and medkit but i think they're close enough to consider each other friends even when sword isn't around. Sword just makes it easier for them to get along because Rocket is not the type of person Medkit would be friends with normally. Though I guess he also probably watched Rocket grow up as well.
