A not (what’s considered to be) attractive daughter of Aphrodite.
One who had body issues her whole life. She tried to lather her face in makeup, and her skin began to develop acne from the constant foundation. One who had problems eating because she felt so fat and narrowly avoided bulimia because of supportive Hermès cabin mates who also feel misplaced.
But she was the one who baked cookies from scratch on your birthday. She was the girl who pushed her self deprecating thoughts on herself silently while raising everybody up around her. She’s the one who befriends the strange woodland critters at Camp Half blood and brings them whatever leftovers she doesn’t sacrifice to the gods.
So when the girl that isn’t quite symmetrical or considered attractive gets claimed by Aphrodite at dinner, right after helping clean up a spilled and shattered plate dropped from a stuttering and nervous satyr, and taking the fall for the spill, nobody’s surprised. Because the girl might be the most truly beautiful demigod in the entire camp.

I know someone else mentioned this, but I’m really bothered by the idea that Piper and Leo would leave Jason’s body with essentially complete strangers. I find it really doubtful that they both decided to stay with each other but not with Jason. That they don’t care about missing Jason’s funeral??? I would think Piper would tell her dad to go on to Oklahoma without her and the two of them could ride Festus to Camp Jupiter and then back to their respective homes. I know Uncle Rick wanted to space out the different throw-back characters, but I really don’t understand why either character could just leave Jason like that. And Leo didn’t even ask to see him - he just looked at his coffin - he didn’t even say goodbye. That seems unrealistic to me.
We demand a Percy Jackson remake with a director who actually knows how to follow the book!
