Hello,
I have finished The Dragon and The Unicorn. Overall I don't feel it was a waste of my time.
There is a lot to enjoy even if there is also a bunch that I didn't really enjoy. The demon Merlin was excellent. The discussion of faith and truth that runs throughout was also enjoyable. There are passages I would re-read though his language choices regularly pulled me out of the story. Pizzle amused me but some of the words felt awkward to me.
As I said, I wouldn't warn people away, I wouldn't speak bad about it, I would recommend with caution. Its probably someone's favourite fantasy, just not mine.
Oh, and I still can't find The Two Towers.
