Appearance (and/or Art): 

Pizzip will often wear clothing in Rakdos red and black, but will also often have bright highlights of other colors, and will change up her look often, either buying new clothes or pulling old ones out of storage.

Pizzip is also a bit tall and somewhat chubby compared to the average goblin.

Backstory: Born impoverished in Ravnica’s Fifth District, Pizzip eked out a living as a street performer, using her seemingly innate musical ability to play a number of instruments well. She was noticed by the Cult of Rakdos, who took her in, refined her performances and taught her a bit of magic to go along with them, most notably a spell allowing her to conjure musical instruments. This all went well for a few years, until a mishap during a stunt on stage causing a volley of knives to be headed directly for her. Feeling her imminent death, she instead planeswalked. 

Since figuring out her planeswalker abilities, Pizzip has realized that this gives her the opportunity to see and hear things the vast majority of people never will, and tries to incorporate approximate noise from other planes into her music. 

Magic, gear and/or abilities: Pizzip’s main ability is a conjuration spell, taught to her by the Rakdos that allows her to summon instruments. However, Pizzip took this one step further, recognizing that just about anything can be an instrument if you’re creative enough, and as such can conjure practically anything she can conceptualize as an instrument. This includes quite a few tools and weapons.

However, her main instrument isn’t a conjuration, but is instead Cacophony, a dulcimer she hired the Izzet to line with mizzium in order to make it an effective bludgeon without risk of damage.

12. Own any pets?

well not at the moment ‘cause like, I “go away for a few days” too much so whoever I rope to take care of my cat or whatever would practically be in a part-time job and that ain’t worth it

that said when I was a kid there was a bunch of squirrels that hung out around my apartment and those were practically my pets with how I’d take care of ‘em

26. Guilty Pleasure

okay see, “guilty pleasure” implies guilt and I try to put a concerted effort into being shameless

that said, I guess one thing I don’t make too public is that I’ll go down to the undercity and hang with the Swarm sometimes

I’ll never understand how they do it but necrobotany is just so cool

29. What was childhood like?

honestly? I mean not that great, like

the guilds get all the glitz and glamour but there’s a lot of people who are a lot of guildless doing a lot of crappy jobs just trying to get by and not even succeeding half the time

and that’s what it was like. that’s what my family was like. I didn’t have a ton, like, you saw up there, I hung with squirrels

but I made do with what I had. one day my dad found this old, beat up dulcimer, bought some new strings and gave it to me, and I never forgot it

Cacophony’s meant to take a beating and I wouldn’t dare put a scratch on this old girl

42. What’s the dumbest thing your character’s done?

okay well. you know me, critically acclaimed dumbass and all

but the dumbest thing? I mean, does it count as a dumb thing if you didn’t know it was a dumb thing at the time

like every time I ‘walk I get into enough hot water to boil a leviathan ‘cause I don’t know how the world works

but probably my first ‘walk was the worst, but can you blame me for approaching and trying to be friendly when I’m this disoriented

((For this Fanwalker Friday, I finally hammered out a card design for my goblin bard girl. I’m really liking creating Equipment tokens as an analog for her conjuring ability. She’s going to summon weapons in a battle, and this is a battle, after all.
