It’s been a long time since I’ve done pixel art.

I got invited to a friend’s table-top session if I’d go as a spacefaring race, so I went from Gremlin to pathfinder Grioth. Don’t know if it’ll pan out but this is my Ugly Girl, Mouthsweet.

She’s kind of a-...Rat-...Opossum-... Boar-... Thing. About 3ft / 92cm. Usually has two eyes. But the four-eyed look is kind of nice. Literally contains symbiote centipedes.

I can’t believe the last time i posted something was 2016 Oct.

So much as changed. A dear friend passed away, I became a mom. I changed job a few times. What doesn’t change is that i am still trying to figure out what keeps me engaged and fulfilled.  I wouldn’t say i am wiser. But i would say i got better with uncertainty and unknown. Still sucks at a lot of things but i am ok with that.

Last October, I did a series of pixel doodles mostly around public transit for 30 days. I had a lot of fun. It reminded me the joy of making things. I’ve also learned i really like constraints. 

So this year, I am going to start with color mediation—based on Lisa Soloman’s new book—A Field Guide to Color.
