#pixel taxonomy

Hello! I see there's a few new people here, via my pixel cats project. Just wanted to let you know that I've returned to this project recently and have been working on some stuff behind the scenes.

Technical stuff mostly, things that take a loooong time to do but are barely noticeable haha.. But I am planning to do something with this soon! A website, some merch hopefully, and and I would really like to expand it beyond the current collection.

There are so many possible directions, though! Include extinct cats? What about subspecies? Colour variants? Or do a new family, such as Canidae? Or do a family that is phylogeneticaly closest to cats? So many options! But let's cross that bridge when we get there

There is some debate whether these 5 are subspecies of Leopardus colocola or separate species.
