Kill J definitely doesn’t hold back in the politically-charged new lyric video for ‘Strange Fruits of the Sea,’ the Danish singer collaborating with animator/director Pix3lface to present a rather ugly view of our current social and political landscape in the form of disturbingly hypnotic visuals, leaving you with nowhere to turn as viewers confront bold fonts, crying babies, disembodied limbs and alien/Trump hybrids.
CalArts graduate Pix3lface has built up quite a prolific portfolio over the past five years, creating tour visuals and animation VFX for some of the world’s biggest artists including Jack U, Skrillex, RL Grime, Boys Noize, A$AP Rocky, while his visuals have headlined sets for Coachella and EDC and have featured in projects for Versace, Nike x Riccardo Tisci, MTV and more.
