[Dean felt like he hadn't slept in a week. Essentially, he hadn't. An hour here, thirty minutes there, sometimes dozing off while he friggin' drove. He couldn't stop though, had to get to the case site before a shitty situation turned into an unfathomable one. And Sam, as ever, was caught in the middle of all of it. Wasn't that just their luck? Nothing ever went down without one of them being in the epicenter.

He spent a lot of the drive thinking back, getting the story straight in his head.

He wasn't all that great on his Norse history, but he'd heard of Ragnarok. The apocalypse. The end-times. They'd already averted one, of course it'd be time for another one to pop up. And of all places, it was starting in Boston. Jormungandr, world serpent, wasn't actually as big as the earth, but he was pretty goddamn big, and he had been sleeping under the foundations of Boston for god knew how long now.

But not anymore. Jormungandr was awake, and pissed.

Lore went that his venom dripped from its fangs wherever it went, poisoning earth, sky, and water, which would explain the mysterious and debilitating illness going through the city. It was helped along by the fact that the snake (Dean had nicknamed it Jormy in his head - way shorter) had been swallowing people whole. If things really were going the way of Ragnarok, that meant a giant wolf would be on its way soon.

When Harry Potter HBP came out, my Mom and me had a full blown fight about who gets to read it first. It ended with broken furniture. We learned from it and ordered 2 of DH. Probably a good idea.

Other kids grew up watching Disney Movies. When I was six, my dad forced all of the Star Trek and Star wars movies in me. And then Stargate. Nerd doesn't even cover it at times.
